Prologue
I remember it all clearly. I never thought this would happen, never thought my life would change so drastically. But before I start on my roller coaster adventure I should give you some background info.
My name is Catherine Sinclair. I was born on March 3rd 1997. I love soccer and music. I guess you could say I’m sort of a player. I’ve dated a lot of guys. (I have relationship issues, okay. You can blame my parents for that.) Anyway, ever since I was little I dreamed of finding “the one.” The guy I would love forever. The one I’d grow old with. I wanted a guy to comfort me, be there for me, a guy I’d be proud of calling mine. This is where Mike comes in. He became my one, my universe, my forever.
Now most people are reading this thinking “oh, this is just another cliché love story” but I assure you, it’s not. It’s much more than that. It’s the story of war, and love. And it all started my junior year of high school…
