Chapter 3
Weeks passed and nothing new happened. School was boring like usual and I was constantly busy. Soccer practice continued and when I wasn’t doing that or school work, I was hanging out with my friends. Mostly Mike. Now back to the present, everyone decided we wanted to go camping one last time before winter hit. So we decided to take a 4 hour drive up to the beach this weekend. We’re leaving Friday morning and coming back Monday night. I was currently packing all my last minute stuff. My parents only agreed to let me go because they think it’s just us girl going… But that’s not the case. Miranda, Mike, Josh, Alyssa, Anna, Savannah, Luke, Thomas, Aiden and I are all going.
When I was done packing I brought it all downstairs and loaded it in the back of my car with Miranda’s stuff. I said goodbye to my parents and then Miranda and I were off. We decided that the whole group would meet at Aiden’s house then we’ll head out from there. When we go to Aiden’s house I noticed that we were the last ones to show up. Miranda and I got out of the car and walked over to them.
“You guys ready for one hell of a trip?” I asked the group.
They replied with shouts and hollers.
“Then let’s go!”
We piled into 3 cars. Aiden’s F350, Josh’s jeep and my F350. Josh and Alyssa are riding in Josh’s jeep. Aiden, Savannah, Anna and Thomas are riding in Aiden’s truck. And Miranda, Luke, Mike and I are riding in my truck. When we were sure we had everything and everyone was settled in the cars, we set off.
I was driving, Miranda was in the passenger seat and Mike and Luke were in the back. I turned on the radio and One Direction’s Best Song Ever came on. Miranda and I started singing aong at the top of our lungs. I could tell already that the boys were going to have broken ear drums by the end of the drive.
When we finally got there, everbody could not have been more relieved. The drive was tiring and annoying. We all got out of the car and unpacked our stuff. The room assignments had already been decided on the way here. Josh and Alyssa were sharing a room, Savannah and Aiden, Anna and Thomas, Mike and Luke and Mairanda and I. After we got settled in to our rooms, we decided to hit the beach. I changed into my black bikini that made my boobs and butt look good. Miranda and I were the last one’s to get out to the beach. When we got there I noticed Mike looking me up and down. Feeling satisfied with myself I took off running towards the water with the others behind me. After a couple hours of water fights and many games of chicken, we decided to go in.
On the walk back to the beach hosue I walked slosly wanting nothing more than to stay in this moment of true happiness. Mike slowed down form the rest of the group so he was walking with me.
“You okay?” He asked. “Yo look deep in concentration.”
“I’m perfect. I’m happier then I have been in a while and it feels amazing.” I replied looking up at him with a genuine smile on my face.
“Good.” He answered with a small smile playing on his lips. “You want a piggyback ride the rest of the way? You look kind of tired.”
Laughing I replied, “I didn’t know you wanted me that bad Mike. I think we’re going a little too fast.”
Rolling his eyes at my childish reply he bent down and I hopped onhis back. I rested my head on his shoulder and we walked back in the beautiful silence of nature.
When we got back to the house everyone else had dinner started and the movies set out for tonight. We decided to watch we’re the Millers first. We were laughing the whole time. And while looking around at my friends during the movie I realized that I didn’t want any of this to change. I wanted it to stay like this, where we could be free teenagers.
