A Military's Soccer Babe

Chapter 6

Recap: they had a s'mores eating contest and Mike, Luke, Miranda and Catherine were left.

"Congrats Mike, you win. Now can't we all just go to bed? I'm tired." Miranda whined. I think she was just a little pissed that she didn't win to be quite honest. Miranda took food vey seriously, but then again so did all the girls on the soccer team.

After Miranda said this the four of us started getting up. Luke and Miranda immediately left and Mike and I stayed back to clean up the mess that we, well mostly Josh, had made.

"You know Miranda is probably going to be pissed at you for the next couple days. Never come between her and food." I said as we grabbed the stuff to take back inside.

"Haha, yeah she didn't seem to happy but I think she'll be fine after her and Luke have a night together." Mike replied with a grin.

I laughed and replied, "even if that is so, I do not need that picture in my head thank you very much."

"You're the one with the dirty mind Sunshine." He said with a grin.

I smiled back and lightly shoved him. By now we were almost done putting everything away. When we finished I grabbed the whip cream and jumped on the counter. I sprayed some in my mouth and offered some to Mike.

He looked at me with a small smile on his face, "No thanks Sunshine, I've eaten to much tonight." As he said this he walked over so he was standing right between my legs. I slowly lowered my hand that had the whip cream bottle in it and everything seemed to go quite as we looked at each other. He raised his hand to the edge of my mouth and wiped something off. "You had a little." He whispered. I leaned in closer wanting nothing more then to be in his arms. He kept his hand on my face and scooted even closer to me. So close that are lips could touch. And then... "What're you guys doing up? It's like three in the morning." Josh groaned.

We pulled away quickly and Mike moved to the other side of the kitchen. "We were just finishing cleaning. And dude it's not even one."

As Josh proceeded to answer I took this as my chance to sneak out. I went up to my bedroom that I'm suppose to be sharing with Miranda, only to find Luke in bed with her. Clothed thank goodness. So I closed the door and went back downstairs.

I decided to sleep on the couch in the living room and I was headed that way when I ran into Mike. "Sorry." I said as I tried to brush by him, but just like the last time this happened he grabbed my arm. Only this time he didn't say some cheesey pick-up line. This time he spun me completely around and smashed his lips to mine. After what seemed like forever he pulled away. "Night Sunshine." He said with a small smile. And with that he turned and left me alone with only the thoughts of total bliss swirling around in my head.

I know, I know I am such a SHITTY person for not updating in so long. Things haven't been the best for me lately but still it has been months since I updated and I am so sorry. Thank you to this of you who are still wanting to read the book even though I'm awful at updates I appreciate it so much. I honestly will try to update more now.
