When We First met
“Catherine! Hurry up! I have better things to do then drive you around!” my sister yelled.
You see, my sister is in her second year of college and currently having to drive me around because my car isn’t here. Thanks to Miranda. Miranda Wolf is my best friend and has been for a couple of years. Anyway Miranda has my car at the moment.
“I’m coming!” I yelled back.
I grabbed my phone, pull on my shoes and run out the door. When we pull up to the high school I jump out of the car and run inside. When I get inside, I immediately spot my girls and run over to them. We greet each other and then start talking about the upcoming season.
When the banquet actually starts the coaches start talking about the season and everything coming up. Then my favorite part is finally here. The… eating! I get up with the girls and start walking over to it. But on the way over, I accidently bumped into someone.
I glanced up to see very pretty brown eyes. I looked him up and down and realized that he’s pretty hot. Then I mentally smacked myself for checking him out and looked back up at him. I was praying he didn’t notice me checking him out, but by the look on his face and I know he did.
Ignoring his smirk, I started walking off after saying sorry, but I didn’t get more than a few feet when someone grabbed my arm. I looked back to see the same attractive guy I tried to leave just a few seconds ago.
“Yes?” I asked
He immediately responded with “Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?”
Laughing to myself, I said “If you want my number, you’re going to have to do a lot better than that.” I sent him a wink and then went back to my main priority… food.
Well after the banquet ended, I started walking to my car that I had finally gotten back. On the way to my car, I heard footsteps behind me. Knowing that I was the last one to leave my heart started racing. I started walking a bit faster when all the sudden for the second time tonight someone grabbed my arm, but this time it wasn’t the attractive guy. The person started dragging me across the parking lot as I was screaming and kicking. I could feel tears threatening to spill. Then I heard a voice that sounded like an angel from heaven at that moment.
The person said “You have 5 seconds to let go.”
The person who had a hold of me hesitated before letting go and running away. My mind was racing and I felt like I was about to pass out. But before I could fall the stranger caught me. I wrapped my arms around him and let a few tears fall until I pulled away. It was then that I realized this stranger wasn’t a stranger at all. It was the same attractive guy from earlier.
He looked me in the eyes and said “It’s okay, I got you. I won’t let anybody hurt you.”
I pulled away and while looking down at my shoes replied “Thanks, I don’t know what would’ve happened if you hadn’t shown up.” My voice sounded scratchy and you could tell I had been crying.
“It’s no problem. But since I did save your life does that mean I can get your number now?” He asked with a cheeky grin plastered on his face.
“I don’t even know your name.”
“It’s Micheal Landon or Mike for short.” He replied “What’s yours?”
With a small smile on my face I said “I’m Catherine. Catherine Sinclair. Now give me your phone.”
