(TORCHWOOD WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE ON NETFLIX TILL MARCH FIRST AHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Thank you for all the reads by the way! 😊)
[I apologise for any mistakes, I have a hell of a raging headache currently. (Which may as well be the inspiration for this....) But I hope you enjoy.]

A painful throbbing at the back of his head woke him up. He opened his eyes, and flinched reflexively at the intensity of the light around him. He blinked until the brightness was at a level he was more comfortable with, then, with some difficulty, sat up so he could look around.

He didn't remember much; not where he was, or why he was there. He couldn't remember his name, either.

Suddenly hands had a grip on the sides of his face and a worried, unfamiliar face swam into view. "Ianto, are you okay?"

"Who's Ianto?" he asked hesitantly.

The other man faltered. "You're Ianto. Don't you remember? You're Ianto, I'm Jack, and that's Gwen." he said, pointing to a woman behind him who was studying them nervously.

"I... What happened? I don't remember anything," he – Ianto, they had said his name was – explained.

"You were attacked by a rogue Weevil, suffered some intensive trauma. You've been out of it for days," Jack informed him. "Do you remember Torchwood?"

Ianto's eyes widened nervously. "Am I part of some gang? I promised Mum I'd leave that stuff behind when I moved to London."

Jack glanced at Gwen who shrugged slightly, but not to conspicuous as for Ianto to notice.

"No, you work here. We're a sort-of secret organisation." Jack said slowly. "You're our-"

"You and him are a thing!" Gwen blurted, interrupting Jack, who turned and gave her an exasperated look. The woman didn't look the least bit sorry, really.

Ianto sat up halfway, surprised by the 'new' information. "Oh! Um, sorry, but for the life of me I can't remember...what did you say I was attacked by again?" He glanced up at Jack questioningly.

"A weevil. Alien, boiler suit, nasty teeth?" Jack prodded with the characteristics as if to rouse some memory.

Ianto shook his head, signalling nothing had come back.

"Alright, stay here, I'm going to go discuss the situation with Gwen." Jack said as if explaining instructions to a small child. Ianto nodded and Jack took Gwen to his office.

"What do we do? He lost his memory, almost an entire year! W-" Jack was interrupted once again by the blaring alarm signalling the cog door was opening.

"What the f-" Gwen started but stopped herself and dashed out of the office.

Ianto had made a mad dash towards whatever had looked like an exit, and the big, caged, circular door was giving off a red flag the size of a barn. He darted over and pressed a green button, and the door started opening slowly with the sound of an alarm.

"Come on, come on!" He muttered, attempting to will the door to open faster.

"Ianto! Stop! Trust me, you don't want to do this!" Jack called next to Gwen who was racing down the stair well, charging directly at him.

The cog finally made a large enough gap for him to slip through, and Ianto popped out the other end. He then bolted, but not without Gwen hot on his tail who was followed by Jack.

"Screw off! Leave me alone!" Ianto shouted behind him as he snaked his way through the corridors, which were hopefully leading up to the surface. He came to an open lift and hopped inside, frantically pushing the 'up' button until the others squeezed inside finally.

"Christ Ianto, you're fast." Gwen breathed, hands on her knees, evidently quite tired.

"Just leave me alone, please." Ianto pulled the gun he'd been hiding out of the back of his trousers, pointing it at the two. Jack backed up but Gwen did more so.

"Ianto, this will be a really stupid decision if you go through with this." Jack said calmly, slowly inching towards the gun.

"A secret organisation, seriously?" The younger man scoffed, tightening his hold on the gun. "If you kidnap someone make sure to do it right. And don't think I won't shoot." He held the gun towards Jack's forehead, finger slowly pressing on the trigger as the immortal inched closer.

"Ianto, we have pictures, of all of us and you. We didn't kidnap y-"

Jack lurched back mid sentence as a bullet ripped through his head. Gwen shouted and fired her own gun, hitting Ianto somewhere, but able to make him crumple to the floor, seething. Gwen quickly knocked the amnesiac out with the butt of her gun, then waited among the dead and unconscious men for the lift to reach the bottom.

Jack gasped awake and saw that he was no longer in the elevator but on the old couch in the hub. A noticeable smear of blood ran from the door to himself, but there was another trail heading down into the medical bay.

"Gwen?" He called, getting off the couch and stretching.
Where was...shit- Ianto.
"Gwen! Where's Ianto?" Jack rushed down into the medical bay and saw Ianto in the table and an asleep Gwen in the corner, her hands covered in blood.
Ianto's side was heavily wrapped, blood starting to seep through slightly, but otherwise fine. The suit around the area was dark with drying blood as well.

Jack left Gwen be as he changed the bandages on Ianto's torso. The bullet had entered neatly through his ribs, narrowly missing the bone and lung, but had exited well. Jack disinfected and placed the new gauze pad on the wound, then taped it down with medical tape. He rewrapped the area and slid Ianto's shirt back down.

Jack glanced up towards Ianto's face and almost jumped back a bit as he noticed the man wasn't asleep anymore, but his eyes had been following him for who knew how long.

"Ianto, do you happen to remember anything now?" Jack asked, breaking the awkward silence between them.

"Yes, and I have to say I'm quite embarrassed."
Ianto flushed and Jack smiled slightly.

"Gangs? What more mysteries do you hold, Ianto Jones?" The captain quirked an eyebrow and chuckled, accidentally startling Gwen from her rest.

"Oh! Ianto you're awake! And Jack, you're up finally." She glanced between them. "He remembered?"

"Yup, and I'm terribly sorry for the havoc I caused earlier." Ianto said sheepishly.

"It's fine, love." Gwen rubbed his back as to comfort him. "You couldn't really have known better at the time, could you?"

"It's true." Jack hummed slightly. "Anyway, it's been a rough day, let's take a break and perhaps we can get a movie started."
