i love molecules when they are in the form of you. dreams and love and breath, changing in the warm light under my hands. the shift of time and moon and stars. we do not stay the same way, we grow, we become paths through the woods, through skyscrapers and wheat fields, paths down to the ocean surf, where waves crash and reform. i do not love you for who you were, or who you will become. i love you always, in every form.

i too am made of molecules, but i am also made of you.
