Rachel's POV

It's been a couple of days which means, new beta will be arriving today. Do I care? Um no... Am I curious? No... Okay so maybe a little, but that's it.
Right now I am currently training, even though most people are getting ready for that stupid 'Welcome Home' party for the beta's son. I didn't want to go but since Alexander asked me to be his date I had to. I wanted to say 'no' but he's the Alpha's son and it would be rude.

So I'm stuck, with no way out of this whole thing. I stopped and put all the exercising equipment up, and walked to the pack house.
That's one of the best part of living in a pack, everything is so close. I quickly made it inside without being noticed. Wasn't to hard, nobody really cares about me. Well that was until they all found out about me and Alexander's little date. Since then they've all been watching me, like hawks watching prey. Watching my every move, seeing if I did anything exciting, but of course I don't.
I was about to turn my door knob when all of a sudden my door sung open. And there stood my 'best friend'. Lydia.

"OMMG where were you? I have been waiting for like hours for you to show up. Your Alexander's date but yet you don't care about looking pretty? What kind of person are you?"

I rolled my eyes at my over dramatic friend. "I was training. And I don't see the importance of this party. And I didn't ask to be Alexander's date. He's just a friend to me anyway." I said putting my cloths in the dirty laundry basket. Then I heard Lydia fake gasp.

I turned and walked up to her.
"Why are you here anyway?" she shrugged and went to my closet.

"Just to help you get ready. And you need to shower too. So it saves you time." I smiled at her. I walked over to the closet to join her.

"So what do you think I should wear?" I said looking over her shoulder.

She had a thinking look on her face. I turned my head to look at what she was looking at. All I saw was clothes and more clothes. Hmm why do I own so much if I like don't wear them. Oh yeah because Lydia always insists that I need every shirt or every skirt in the store. But she means good.

"Okay so which one out of these two do you like?" I looked at the two dresses that she pulled out of my closet and laid them down on my bed. One was a pink coral strapless, high-low dress that had sparkles and it was really beautiful. The other one was a baby blue one strap, silky, wavy, knee length dress. It was also pretty but I liked the first one better. I pointed at the first one.

"Good choice now go wash up. I'll be waiting, so I can do your hair and make-up." I nodded and grabbed the coral colored dress and headed towards the bathroom.

~15 minutes later~

I walked out of the bathroom and I had the dress on I just needed Lydia to zip it up. I walked over to where she was standing and motioned to my dress. She understood my weird signal and zipped my dress up. I really didn't want to deal with my hair so I decided to put it up in a messy bin with a few stray curls here and there. at first Lydia objected but once we had finished up with it she seemed quite happy with the result. After that we did light make-up and found some soft coral colored flats and slipped those on.

I'm finally done, but now I have to go to the stupid party. I would much rather be training than going to some beta's party. That's when I realized that Lydia still hadn't gotten ready.

"Hey aren't you going to get ready? These types of parties are like your thing not mine."

She had her back to me but I could still see her shrugging. Something's up and I'm going to found out what it is. I got up but then I heard a knock at my door.
