The Heartless King

Kingdom 5: The Heartless King

"Your Highness Run!!...Ahhh!!"

"NO!!!" she yelled as she heard yet another on of her men cry out in pain.  Surely meeting a horrible death.

She ran and ran not really knowing where she was headed but what she did know was that she needed to get away from him, the monster who she called husband and king.

"You can run all you want but you shall not escape from me my beloved" he roared through the halls. More and more guards fell in line to defend their queen, all meeting the same faith....

"My lady in here" whisper  a maid I she grab the hold on the Queen's arm dragging her within one of the sleeping Chambers locking the door as they entered.  "There is a door beyond the walls it will leave you outside of the Kingdom you must run if you value your life and that of your people. " the maid ran over to the farthest right side of the room feeling around for the hidden door.

*Bang Bang*

They both gasp as they heard pounding at the chamber door the King has found them and death was to soon follow

" My Lady you must leave" the maid grabbed her by the shoulder and pushed it towards the door "Go to the closest Kingdom and seek help, The king of the sky's is it kind King and he has been at War the land of lightning for so long but if you ask as the  queen of this land for help to Dethrone the king I'm sure you will come to our Aid"

*bang bang*

" but you need to leave now before he open the door. You just be strong my Queen run befo...."

The Queen started in horror as a sword pierced through the maze chest going straight through her. She looked over at the door that was not on the ground then to the king that stood hovering over her. She watched as he mercilessly through the maids body off his sword to the other  end of the room.

She looked up at him knowing that fighting would be of no use. Tears built up within her eyes blurring her vision.

"Why must you always fight with me?" He asked as he let out a sigh, his sword still in hand, now hovering over her chest. "You aren't the first nor will you be the last, my kingdom will strive and live on, you'll become nothing more than a memory to your people so why fight?"

She turned her head and faced her kingdom tears trailing down her cheeks "My kingdom is all i have. I never had love or have i ever been blessed to be truly loved by another.  loved anyone or anything as much as i do my people and kingdom" turning she looked back at her king tears slowly running down her face. her expression harden she raise the head up with pride.

"if I she'll die by your hand today I know I'll live on in the hearts of my people and beautiful kingdom. I know I was an honorable I'm worthy Queen but you are nothing more a parasite that consumes all and destroys everything good within its Kingdom. You will pay and rot and suffer A death far worse than mine.... Long live the king." 

With those final words she turn your head towards our kingdom once again wanting it to be the last thing she sees before her death.

She let out a gasp as she shut her eyes in pain as he pierced her heart with his sword.

The same sword that carried the blood of her soldiers. The one that carries the blood of past Queens that have fallen by his hands, the one that has brought nothing but happiness to her people the same one he uses on the battlefield to the protect his kingdom. 

Because he was a horrible King but a king nonetheless a king that will do whatever n his power to see his kingdom strive

He watched as she let go of her final breath, her eyes becoming cold and hollow. Her hand slowly hit the floor splashing in the puddle of blood beneath his feet.

There was no more movement no more sound everything fell silent.

He looked down at the her body her eyes wide and clear the reflection of the Kingdom within them. "Your right my beloved. Long live the king"  with that he turned to spread the news of his Queens tragic death

That night rain fell from the heavens as the kingdom mourned their fallen Queen.

It's been awhile this is a really short chapter I feel like it's more like a filler chapter than an actual chapter but either way I hope you enjoyed it.
I will start writing again I'll try to make my updates as fast as possible but I think I will start updating once every two weeks?
I'm not sure yet...
I released a new story which is probably a bad idea considering I haven't finished my others but like I said I will try.

I haven't been in the best state of mind for a while but A lots happened. And I'm having more better days than worse so I think that's good.
