“Ryan! Ryan?” Hope had been calling for Ryan for the past half hour. It was getting dark. She was freezing but it was…odd. A girl, looking for a boy she hardly knew, on a cold day. She could give up on him. She could go home, eat cookies and drink hot cocoa by the fire place. But she had a light in her eyes. Determination.

She huffed, gasping for air. She watched as the last sliver of light disappeared on the horizon. “Hope…less.” Her eyesight began to blur. Before she could stop it, the tears ran down her face. She sat down in an alley. She broke down and cried. “Are you- *cough* *cough*” “R-Ryan?! Where have you been?!” She cried through sobs. He looked down away from Hope. He was silent. “You know,” she began, “That frickin’ hurt!” She yelled. “The way I stood up for you and everything! And then…and then-” “Hope…I-I’m Hope? Hope!” Hope had collapsed on the cold alley floor.

And it's short. Yep. Ha ha. Sorry... Well, if you have any suggestions let me know!
