Ryan’s point of view
I looked at my hands. I put them back in my jean pockets. “It’s cold.” I muttered to no one. I was standing at the door of Hope Sunshine. (What kind of a last name is that? I don’t know, don’t judge me Ryan.) I was debating whether or not I should knock. I put my hand to the door. I put back down. I did this for the next couple minutes. Dammit Ryan! Just DO. IT.
I squeezed my eyes shut as I knocked on the door. I waited a couple seconds. I heard some shuffling. *breaking glass* “SHIT!” I heard someone yell. I snickered as the door opened. “Ryan?” I immediately stood straight. I looked at Hope.
Her hair was neatly combed, her skin was flawless, her face was perfection. But her eyes, her eyes. I’ve never felt so guilty before. Her eyes were desperate for an answer. I looked down and scratched the back of my neck. “Hope, I’m sorry. I was an idiot and-” She raised my head with her hand. It was obvious what we did next. Kiss.
She pulled away and her eyes twinkled. She pulled me inside. “You’re not taking me to the bedroom, right?” “No Ryan.” She laughed and pushed me onto the couch. “Oh, I see. We’re doing it on the couch.” “Ryan!” She blushed furiously. She hugged me.
“I missed you.” She said. My heart melted. “Ryan?” She looked up from my chest. “Why did you quit YouTube?” “The haters.” She looked back down, disappointed. “…And my addiction.” She looked back up concerned. “I did crystal meth and marijuana.” (I hope I spelled it right.) She gasped. “I’m kidding. But, I had this addiction where I would drink so much coffee and Red Bulls that I would crash out and I would have to wake up early to do videos and…yeah.”
She laid her head against my chest. “That didn’t stop you from being perfect.”
