Shopping with Pattie

Jackie's POV :

After my dad left, aw my dad. I'm just so happy everything feels so fantasy-like. Anyways after he left me and Pattie got into a car where the driver would be taking us to the mall. I couldn't wait to shop and talk with Pattie about everything and to of course get to know her better.

"Thank you, I'll call you forty minutes before we get going. Yes we'll be waiting here. Alright, okay thank you." I heard Pattie say to the driver as I waited for her to come out.

"Ah, well let's go inside." she said smiling as we walked inside, the doors opening automatically.

"Does anybody know yet," I asked, "that you know, Justin adopted me?"

I turned sideways to look at her. "Not yet .. he told me he wanted you to meet his family and friends and when he gets your new legal passports and ID he'll let the world know." she answers with a grin on her face

I smile like an idiot, "I .. I always dreamed that maybe one day I'd be part of a family again," I said with tears brimming in my eyes. Pattie noticed and hugged me "..that I'd be part of a family again, and this is just so .. wow." I said letting on a few tears out.

"I'm glad that you're now part of our family, especially such a sweetheart like you." she says playfully bumping me with her elbow on my arm.

The rest of the day was filled with bags full of clothes, perfume, lotions, and other stuff.

I bought a lot of clothes at my favorite stores : Forever twenty-one, Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle, American Apparel, and a lot of other stores that I'm too exhausted to even remember. I can't remember the last time I shopped like this.

But I still didn't know what to wear later today in the afternoon when everybody comes over. I don't know if it's casual, fancy, or just dinner. It wasn't just any other afternoon, I was gonna meet people that obviously mean a lot to Justin. You know that saying? "dress to impress". Well I don't even know how to dress myself right now.

"Pattie, I don't know what to wear when everybody comes over today. Like should I wear a dress .. Or like shorts with a cute shirt or-- I don't know what to wear." I said sighing in defeat as I placed my hands on my face confused.

I hear Pattie laugh and so I uncover my eyes, "Oh, honey. Nobody has told you have they? It's a barbecue, everybody's coming over for a get together to meet you. So basically like a pool party, everybody's probably going to show up in shorts. Oh honey," she says shaking her head "that's why you've looked so stressed." she said smiling I sigh and take a deep breath.

"Thank god." I breath out, "that takes all the stress away."

Jackie's POV :

"Baby girl, baaaaaby girrrrl!" I hear and mentally laugh, that's what Justin has been calling me since I got home from my shopping day with Pattie.

"Yes daaaaddy!?" I yelled back mimicking him I walked out to the hallway and heard his footsteps coming up so I met him halfway. "Yes?"

"People are here, you should change or is that what you're wearing?" He smirks knowing I wasn't going to go down there wearing sweats and a plain "V" neck.

"Imma change real quick." I said quickly

"Don't forget to wear a bathing suit everybody's already changing into theirs to get into the pool!" He yelled out as I made it back into my room

I tied my hair into a high ponytail and look at my closet, still empty. I had gotten home and taken a nap instead of organizing my closet (I was too exhausted to even walk all the way into the closet at the time). I looked for my A&F bag and grab the five bikinis I had bought.

After about a minute I decided to wear a neon green bikini two piece. I slip on the bikini and wear high waisted shorts with a black half shirt. I grab my peach iPhone 5c and put it in my pocket and slip on my sandals.

I run downstairs "Dad? Daaad?" I look around for him, duh he's outside Jackie. I mentally slap myself and go outside to see a couple of guys, Pattie, two little kids, and a lady a bit younger then Pattie.

I walk out and all eyes are on me. Time to meet new people. God, please let this go well.
