Leo turned to Daniel and said " sorry about that. She's kinda wrapped up in what she's doing. It happens all the time." (There's the obligatory terrible exposition about character traits. Tell Don't show is the way to go. I was wondering when that would show up) " you" said Lauren pointing to Daniel. She turned around and moved towards him." Something about you is special " she stated. " what are you talking about" asked Dan. " she wouldn't go after nothing's like you"said Lauren. "thanks" said Dan." Which means she's looking for something that you have " said Lauren. " what does she want?" Dan asked Leo. " I don't know " said Leo" but it must be important."(I don't remember if we ever find out why. I'll see later) " you see-ahhhhhh!!!!" Leo was interrupted by his own screams. (Okay. That was a thing that I typed) The evil woman had gotten up and blasted at Leo. (Oh no! Leo! This is my problem. I'm too extreme. If I try to write comedy, I'm over the top, if I try to write a serious story, I kill every character in dark and gruesome ways. There is no in between for meeeee) Her accuracy was uncanny. Leo dropped dead to the floor. Lauren and Bianca turned around and gasped. (Aww dang he's dead! Oh well)
"I have no idea!" Yelled Daniel.( I see I finally learned how to punctuate dialogue. Well, mostly)
" that woman " said Lauren as she sat down on a bench " her name is Menacca" (Once again, expert naming)
Daniel decided to sit down too. "Who is she "(no question mark. Unforgivable) he asked." She's a witch like me " said Lauren.
" wait hold up" said Daniel. You're a witch?"(You just saw 3 people get killed by a lady wearing a cloak who can shoot fire. Yeah. They're witches) " yeah I thought it was obvious" said Lauren.
Lauren nodded and we headed off into the woods.
After about an hour of walking Daniel, (Did I seriously just changes POV in the middle of a chapter? Those sentences are right next to eachother!) Lauren and Bianca sat down and decided to start a fire. Bianca pulled a bag of marshmallows out of her pocket. (I didn't know marsh mellows existed in Medieval Times) She handed me and Lauren one but Lauren handed it back. "No thanks " she said.
"So " Dan asked. "What's the plan?"
"We're heading to the dark forest" (ooooo spoopy) said Bianca. She bit into her marshmallow.
" Who are you?" Asked the king.
" I am a level 4 witch by the order of Daron " said Lauren.
The king looked shocked. "Very well then". (What? What was I thinking?)
He got up and walked over to them.
" what is your business here?"
" I need assistance "
" in what? "
" that is our business
" very well. I will be glad to help you but what I get out of it?"
" a warning "
" about what? "(CAPITAL LETTERS)
" in 24 hours an army of troops will invade this castle. They will be led by Menacca. "
King Jacob shivered at the mention of her name. (Was it from cringe?)
