Jane's POV:

To be honest, I am getting really nervous. Layla, Anne and Caitlyn don't even know that I'm staying over at Luke's. They would really freak out, but in good way of course.

It's not like he's some rapist or thief.

Or is he?

By the time I was going to leave, Layla and Anne came inside the room, giggling at who knows what they're talking about. Probably some new rumor they heard.

"Hey hey Jane. We heard this new rumor today. It is going to surprise you." Layla laughed it all out. See? What did I tell you?

"Go on, spill."

"It's about Nathan. He broke up with his girlfriend." Anne sympathetically told me.

"Oh, I'm sure he'll find another girl. He always does." I bet it would take him a week or a day.

"That's the thing. The new girl," Layla seemed a bit hesitant, "is you." Oh god, that just choked me. "What?!"

"Yeah. He's planning on asking you out! Isn't that amazing?!" I was left speechless.

"Hahahahahahaha!" Layla and Anne looked confused at my long laugh, "It's just a rumor. Only a rumor." I took my packed bag and headed for the door. "I gotta go now. Lu-- It's time I head out."

"Oh alright. Where though? Your home?" Anne came closer to me and gave me a warm hug. As I returned the hug, I said, "Uhh, yeah. Yeah, home."

"But I thought you hated going home." Oh crap, I forgot that they all know about my relationship with my mom. "Well, family members could always give second chances, right?"

"Right! Haha, my mistake. It's not like your relationship is that big of a deal." You think? "See you then." Layla gave me a hug goodbye.

"Yeah, I'll see you guys after the winter break is over." I feel guilty. I should have told them that I'm staying at Luke's. They know how much I hate going to my own home. They even witnessed a lot of arguments I had with my mom; they were really deadly. My dad can't even break it between us. I wonder how were Layla and Anne convinced that I was supposedly willing to give my mom another chance. That only happens in fairy tales.

"Hey Janey Baney!" Oh great, it's Caitlyn. "Heading home for winter break?"

"Yeah. I want to give it a shot." Why am I lying to her too? Damn it, Jane. "See you." I gave Caitlyn a hug as she said, "See you as well."

I released myself from her and continued walking past a lot of empty rooms. Thank God I have a place to stay. If I didn't, I could've been in this dorm alone.

I quickly searched around for Luke as I reached the first floor of my dorm and found him waiting for me outside, in the parking lot.

He was leaning on his car, with black shades on to block his beautiful blue eyes. He was wearing a black leather jacket with a white v-necked shirt, loose jeans and vans shoes. How perfect, it's like he figured out what my taste is. I feel the urge of drooling over him, he looks so hot and it is literally killing me.

"Are you done staring, Jane?" He snapped me out of daydreaming, and as I looked at him, I caught him secretly smirking. "Shut up, I wasn't staring."

"Yeah, like I'll believe that." He starts walking towards me. Oh no. He stopped after realizing he was close enough from me, and smiled at me.

He leaned closer and closer. Crap, he's gonna kiss me! Cover your face, Jane! Out of panic, I held my hands to my face for defense. "I shall get this bag and we shall go and head to my home. It's a long drive."
