8. A Grave Decision
*Third POV*
Mr Ambrose wiped the drop of sweat off his face hastily. Damn this jungle weather, he thought to himself. To him, few good things came out of this trip. One was the promising prospects of find gold, inflating his bank account to even greater heights. And well the other one was pretty obvious...
Unless you were Karim, of course since he kept a firm hand over his eyes any time she was near.
The way Lillian looked, it was if she'd popped right out of one of Mr Ambrose's reoccurring dreams he would have in the middle of the night, though he'd never admit it that. He shook himself out of a daydream, his eyes straying to Lillian in front of him. It was rare, he taking up the back, but the reward of getting to look at her all day made up for it.
She ran a hand through her hair, longer now since there was no way to cut it properly in the jungle, and shaking it through. She was an amusing (and deliciously sinful) sight to Mr Ambrose, what with her dressed in nothing but her chemise and then large, brown men's marching boots.
She pulls it off quite nicely, he thought to himself before immediately shaking it out of his head, it being physically impossible for him to have those kind of thoughts.
Mr Ambrose was almost 100% sure that the jungle made people go crazy. Somehow, in this sweaty, warm climate, Lillian was even more attractive, and that was even before when she was in men's clothing! She was driving him mad, possibly from her own madness, in the sense of swaying her hips seductively, taking charge and kissing him, being very bold and demanding when it came to her nightly wants.
And, while Mr Ambrose would never admit this either, her doing all these crazy things made him positively insane. And hot. Very, very hot. Not the kind of hot you would become after hiking long hours through the desert or after an intense chase, no it was the kind of hot that went from the inside out. Starting in an unknown pit inside of you that you didn't realize you had until that very moment, slowly (or rapidly, depending on how Lilly was acting) climbing through the vines of your veins until you're feeling like you're on fire. It made him feel powerless and incredibly... uncomfortable.
In more ways than one.
His eyes immediately snapped to Lilly's figure, her hips moving in a motion that she knew made him crazy. Frustrated, he unintentionally almost moaned aloud, only realizing it at the last second and covered it up with a strangled sound strange to even Mr Ambrose's ears.
A wicked smile appeared on Lillian's lips, knowing at this moment, she had Mr Ambrose wrapped around her finger as much as one could.

Night fell and the English trio stopped and set up camp. Mr Ambrose caught a bundle of fish for everyone to eat while Karim started up a fire. Lillian watched Mr Ambrose intently, trying to see exactly how you did this whole 'fishing' thing.
Mr Ambrose quickly cooked the fish and passed it out to the two others. Lilly ate her fish in silence, taking in her surroundings and enjoying the slight warm breeze that brushed up against her knees, making the ends of her chemise roll waves.
Mr Ambrose took a deep breath and sat himself next to her under the huge jungle tree. She looked at him with a small smile, his face remaining stony and cold as ever, and went back to eating. The two of them ate in silence, Mr Ambrose watching Karim counting their supplies and ammunition when he wasn't sneaking glances at Lillian.
Quickly they finished their meals and sat in silence. Lillian, being bored, picked up the end of her chemise, raised it a bit, and then it flutter back down. Mr Ambrose watched, slowly becoming mad at the little teases of skin Lilly was giving him. After a few minutes of this torment, his voice cut through the night.
