After hours of hard work, the Video Game Club ended. Andrew had walked home, alone. Surprisingly, he made it home safely. He entered his home to find Ericka cooking dinner.
"Hey Andrew. How was School?" asked Ericka
"It was fine. I'm starving. What's for dinner?" asked Andrew, his stomach grumbling loudly.
"Fried Human." said Ericka nonchalantly.
"Oh ok.....wait, WHAT?!"
"Hahaha, just messin' with ya. We're having Steak and Green Beans." laughed Ericka.
"Phew, you almost gave me a heart attack." muttered Andrew. "Where's Jaime?"
"He's in your room."
Andrew nodded his head and walked up the stairs. He opened the door of his room to find Jaime in a fetal position, holding a sheet a paper. Next to him were a pile of tissues. Andrew sighed and walked over to Jaime.
"Jaime what in the hell is all this?" asked Andrew, snatching the sheet of paper from Jaime's hand. Jaime looked at Andrew dramatically, not leaving his fetal position.
Andrew read the paper to find poetry written on it.
"Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I just got rejected,
Shit."
Andrew read another one. This one was a haiku
"Rejected by her.
Why do I feel this way?
Shit shit shit shit shit."
Andrew read the rest of the sad poems.
"Oh come on Jaime, these don't even rhyme! And the middle line in the haiku is supposed to have 7 syllables; it only has 6! Come on man." Said Andrew
Jaime glared at Andrew
Holding his hands up in defense Andrew said "Listen Jaime, You can't let one rejection fuck you up. Don't give up. Today Jocelyn told me-"
"Guys! Dinner's ready!" yelled Ericka from downstairs.
"Come on man, we'll finish this after dinner." said ANdrew as he helped Jaime get of the floor.
