Chapter Five

*Cole's POV*
"Cole what's going on?!" My mother said running up to me, "Amber got hit by a car." I said crying, my mom fell to the ground crying. "Get a hold of yourself." Kai said slapping her, "Can't you see her daughter is in the hospital having surgery and don't fucking hit my mother you prick." Stephen said, "Listen here boy she is my wife and it's not like it's her only daughter." Kai said turning towards Stephen, "Fuck off you dumb slob." Stephen said, for the first time in a long time Stephen got hit "Enough!" My mother yelled getting up and holding Stephen. "Don't talk to me like that hun." Kai said. "Are you the parents of Amber Myers?" The nurse said, "Yes is she okay?" My mom said, "She's fine she won't be able to leave for a week. I'm sorry she was lucky." The nurse said. "Thank you mama can you tell my daughter we will come back another time." My mom said, the nurse nodded and left, "That's it your leaving." I said looking at my mom, she shook her head yes and her and my other siblings and Kai left. I walked back to where her room was and knocked, "Come in." She said so faintly,  "Hi Cole." She said smiling, "I'm so sorry." I said crying, "Cole it's okay I'm not mad." She said smiling; "Your not?" I looked at her. "Yeah I'm not mad can you lay with me Cole?" She said tearing up, I nodded yes and watched her move over so I could lay with her. "Why didn't mom want to see me." She said." Kai hit Stephen. I think mom just wanted to get out of here." I said looking at her, she looked away and said okay. "Baby sis it's okay mom will be back I promise." I said grabbing her hand. "You can't promise nothing Cole stuff like happiness doesn't run in our family." She said. What did she mean by that? Happiness doesn't run in our family.

                  *Amber's POV*
After Cole had left someone else came in. Luke! "Hey muffin, how are you feeling?" He said walking over to the chair next to me. "No no lay with me Luke please." I said pouting, he took off his shoes and got under the blanket and moved next to me, "You look so cute when you blush." He said smiling, shoot I was blushing. "Amber." Luke said, making me look up, "I love you so very much." He said leaning down and kissing me, I kissed him back. Something about this kiss is making butterflies in my stomach go nuts. It's not like Colton made me feel this way, "I-I like you Luke." I said blushing, I pulled him back down and kissed him again, he stayed till 4am with me till he told me he had to go, I can't believe it I'm falling for the bad boy.
