An: I know this can be cringy and possibly triggering to some people but it's just a story that came to mind that I thought would be interesting to write, so I'm sorry if you're sensitive to this kind of stuff, but I'm just warning you in advance, if not then I hope you enjoy!

Kiara is my best friend, it kinda sucked for me when I had to move Half away across the state to go to college because I was honestly scared of starting a new life, but socializing became easier and finding new friends wasn't a task, but without a doubt me and Kiara clicked instantly.

Honestly I wasn't sure what I thought of her as soon as I met her because she's super smart and pretty, and well I just kinda assumed she'd be a bitch, but she's far from that.

We both started college this year and we're both learning how to cope with it all, I mean I guess it's a little easier for her since she just lives with her dad, but it's still something we are learning together and it's nice to have someone going through the same thing as me.

She was half Korean, or..quarter Korean if you will, so she had some features, and she had the most beautiful long black hair, I'm honestly so jealous of her, she's perfect.

On most days after classes we would head to my dorm, help each other study and such and then usually head out to get food from somewhere, which I was content with, we did this mostly every day so far for the past two months but I enjoyed it.

I woke up this morning and did my normal morning routine, I checked social media, showered, dried my hair, did my makeup, straightened my hair and got dressed. Some mornings I'd shorten my routine and get lazy but most morning this was my routine.

Today I wore tight black skinny jeans with holes in the knees a crop top and vans, I liked to wear a lot of black, I thought it really brought out my blue hair and pale skin.

I headed out to the cafeteria to quickly grab some toast as I ran into Kiara on my way to class, we didn't have class together but she was heading to hers. "Oh hey!" She said as she stopped to talk to me for a quick second while I was shoving my toast in my mouth, I didn't say anything because I had food in my mouth Kiara just added "Wanna come to my place after classes today? Maybe change it up a little?" I just nodded my head and then swallowed my toast, "Sure sounds good to me" i responded as we mad our way to our classes.

The day went on as nothing exciting, just a casual school day, I met up with Kiara at our regular spot which would be the bench outside of the the front dorms, as we made our way to her house.

We got off at a bus stop on a part of town I've never seen before, we didn't walk much further before we started turning into the driveway of a house which I'd assume was hers. The house was pretty big, big enough for a huge family which was surprising considering it was just her and her dad.

Before we walked into the house she looked at me and said "I know my life isn't all that exciting but..this is my home and this is my life" I rolled my eyes at her jokingly "Oh come on! Better then living in the dorms."

We both chuckled As we made our way through the door, "Dad I'm home! I brought a friend with me!!" In a way it kinda felt just like being in high school, which I missed sometimes.

"Mmm something smells so good!" I said sniffing the air as we stood in her kitchen, "Thanks, my homemade chicken dumpling soup" I heard in a deep voice coming from behind us, as this man walked up and checked on his cooking food on the stove.

I was kinda shy and didn't know what to say as he walked up to me and put his hand out to shake my hand "I'm Mark, and you must be? (Yn)" I reached my hand out to shake his as I instantly felt weird tension between me and him, it made me feel slightly uncomfortable.

I must say though he wasn't harsh on the eyes, he had dark hair like Kiara, and she had his eyes too..but his face looked perfectly proportioned, his smile was so perfect, and his body looked amazing. I know it's wrong to even mentally think about my friends dad in that way, but there was something about him that was so appealing to me.

Kiara went to the fridge and grabbed two drinks and said "we're going upstairs to do some homework if it's cool" I just awkwardly stood there being silent and still shy, as he nodded his head. He looked over at me and asked "Are you staying for dinner?" I froze for a second not knowing what to say as I looked at Kiara and then back at him "Sure, I guess" I quietly and awkwardly said as me and Kiara made our way upstairs.

After a while of the usual doing homework and studying my mind started to wonder, I was really curious about Mark, or her dad should I say. I didn't want to make it obvious though.

I was laid down flat on Kiara's bed as she sat in her desk chair, I huffed the hair out of my face before asking "So, what exactly does your dad do? Like..his job?" She spun her desk chair to face me and said "he makes YouTube videos, it's not exactly your ideal parent job but he's been at it for years now, and my mom on the other hand..she's always on business trips, I'm lucky if I get a day with her."

YouTube videos huh? I thought that was pretty cool, just as I was about to respond there was a knock at her bedroom door. "Yes?" Kiara said as her dad opened the door "Dinners ready."

Kiara jumped up and out the door as soon as those words escaped his mouth, I got up to realize he was still at her bedroom door holding the door, I smiled awkwardly as he stayed in the door way as I walked passed him, I could feel his eyes burning through the back of the neck with how hard he was staring at me.

I tried to play it off like it was cool and I made my way downstairs and he followed.

We all sat down at their dinner table, Mark had everything set out for us, Kiara was about to sit in her chair as he pulled her chair out for her which was so cute. I was about to sit down as he rushed over "Allow me" he said as he pulled out my chair too, my face turned red as I chuckled a little "Thank you." I mumbled shyly.

"Dad you're actually such a dork!" Kiara said laughing as she picked up her spoon, "Well hey what kind of dad would I be if I didn't treat my daughter and guests like royalty?" He asked as he looked at me and winked, still red in the face and awkward I just chuckled as Kiara playfully rolled her eyes.

What was happening? Why did I feel like this around him?

I know this chapter is short, but I've also been working on this story for a while too so I'm deciding to post it now. There will be more parts this is just the beginning, I hope you enjoyed and I hope you're excited for more! And as always I will see you in the next story. Buhh-byeeeeeeee ❤️
