Xavier POV*

"Aiden in my office now" I said as we arrived the back at my pack, carrying my mate into my room. I placed her onto my bed. Damn it, I really want to stay but I want to discuss matters about my mate with Aiden.

"I'll be back soon" I whispered to my mate as I quietly closed the door behind me and left for my office. I walked in to my office to see Aiden and Caiden waiting for me.

"Are you going to say anything?" Caiden asked "I need to feed my stomach with proper food." I guess he didn't like going on the trip as much as I though.

"What happened?" I asked finally.

"You know you're being very vague here. What happened to what? With what?" asked Aiden as Caiden looked at me as if I had somehow lost all my brain cells. I probably have.

"My mate, what happened to her? How come she doesn't talk? Knowing you guys, you probably did a full research on her didn't you?"

"Yeah...we did. Apparently she killed her mother, got bullied and punched around a lot, because of that she refuses to talk. She hasn't talked for 10years"

Holy shiz. 10 years? I looked at Aiden to see him not looking at me in the eye.

"What aren't you telling me?"

"She...she doesn't have a wolf...."

What? How's that possible? She's a werewolf too.

"EXPLAIN" I growled at him

"umm...well you see. When her mother died her wolf died as well, her wolf was still young and couldn't take the death of her mother very well. But she can still shift and heal and everything else a wolf can. But....the ..... Ugh....the mind link won't work with her. You can't talk to her wolf either as she isn't there."

They waited as they watched me take the information they had just told me. My mate can't talk. She can't mind link either. Great. Just great, how they hell am I meant to communicate to her now? Send smoke signals?

"Wait, then how did you communicate with her? You understood her without her needing to talk"

"Well it's kinda complicated to explain"

"Yeah.....it's VERY complicated"

"Wait you BOTH communicated with her?"

"No, only Aiden did. But I can if I want"

"Tell me how. I don't care how confusing it is"

"Aiden you explain. I can only communicate to her because of you"

"Um, well you see ...uh....because of everything that's happened and people betraying her and such, she has trust issues. She doesn't communicate with you unless she trusts you."

"So you're saying she can communicate because she trusts you?" I asked

"No....well we are but she doesn't trust us. In her head she is considering us. But she doesn't entirely trust us yet. When she does trust us she will talk. She can talk to Caiden since we are twins and I'm kind of connected to him"

"Hm, make sense alright. You guys can go. I'm going to see my mate" I said as I got up... "Wait, you haven't told me HOW she talks to you"

"She just talks in your head. It's really weird, it's kind of like having a second wolf within you talking. She talked to my wolf too"

...ok then....back to see my mate
