Chapter 2

Still Pewds' POV

I was still following her ofcourse, its been minutes and it seems like she's annoyed that I'm here, I eyed her suspiciously.

'Her aura... That's weird'

"Hey, hold on a sec!" I shouted but she doesn't stop, I followed but sadly I can't catch up, but I could still see her "You're a fire mage aren't you?" She stops, finally! She looks at me, let me tell you why it's dangerous.

The King is a Water Mage, Fire and Water are neutral, and water are friends with almost everything considering that it seems like a friendly magic, Metal and Water is also neutral. Earth, Wood and Water seems friends but Lightning is prohibited near the king, Vox is rarely found, while mortals like me are in some simple jobs
While air is the King's security...

Fire though, is one that rebelled over the King's orders 2 years ago, that's why they're banned from this kingdom

She starts to move towards me and summoned fire in her hands, I back away a bit but there's something wrong...

"Yeah, you seem to know the problem" she says and the fire disappears as she shakes her hand "you can't control it... But why? I mean... It's impossible, an infant fire mage would understand how to control it" I said and she scoffs

'That's why she didn't used it earlier... Because if she used it, yet didn't learned how to control it, there are trees everywhere, once she uses it then makes a wrong mistake... The king might know there's a fire mage!"

"Excuse me?" She asks, I look at her and I cross my arms, I said that aloud didn't I? "If you won't let me go with you, I'll tell everybody there's a fire mage in the competition" I said with a confident smirk on my face, She furrowed her eyebrows and sigh in defeat

"Fine... But if you try to kill me, I won't think twice on burning your body" She mutters and I nodded "I promise... Pinky swear?" I asked pulling out my pinky finger, She rolls her eyes and ignores me as she continues to walk, I shrug and followed her.

~A few hours later ~

Finally exiting the forest to be welcomed by a river, the water seems refreshing and two stones holding a log in place for the bridge, the bridge is very useless, The river seems calm and we could just go over it, I look around.

That's weird, I could sense another aura... (Only mortals could do that(book) "Wait..." I whispered, Looking everywhere trying to find the mortal-like aura person "What? You wanna drink or something? You could, but we don't know i-"

"Quiet"

"Wow, I just accepted you there but that do-"

"There's someone here" I whispered and she gave me a questioning look "I ain't gonna fall for that Pewds" She says, But then she sees that I'm actually serious, She sighs and rolls her eyes "Fine, where?" She asks as we hid under a log that was supposed to be the bridge "I don't know, but I can sense its aura, not sure where though, my bad if I'm not an expert" I said and she shrug, I peeked, trying to search where the person could be. The log suddenly had a hole in it, I look at it to see something, but I'm not sure what it is, I look at the girl and hid again "Uh, can I borrow the dagger again please?" I said and she shook her head

"Come on its not like I could kill you, you're a fire mage!" She shushes me as she looks at the trees "Don't say it out loud" She says threatening me with the dagger "I just need it for something!" I said, sighing she gave it to me, almost hitting me with the sharp end again.
