Chapter 15

Luke's P.O.V.

I watch as Percy and Annabeth talk amongst themselves, looking at the computer that Sally has.  As they are researching Chaos.

"Are you sure there is no physical way to beat him?" I ask

"Yes Luke. He is the god of creation. From this article Chiron sent us, he had one demigod child, but she disappeared when she was very young." Annabeth says

"What do you mean by she just disappeared?" Thalia asks

"It doesn't have much information. All we know is that Chiron tried to find her, but she just plain out disappeared." Percy says, looking back

"Do you think Chaos took her back to where he lives?" I ask

"No, cause when he took me, he asked me where she was. That if I didn't give her back, he would kill all that we love." Jason says

"Why does he expect us to know where she is?" Thalia asks then looks at Annabeth

"You know where she is don't you?" I say

"My mom had told me about her a few times. How she ran off away from the camp cause she just didn't belong." Annabeth says

"But she did belong." I say

"You knew her didn't you?" Thalia asks me

"She was Hermes head counselor before I was." I say "She watched out for me and Annabeth for a while, until she actually left."

"Luke, you are leaving your left side open." She yells

"How can you tell I am leaving it open?" I ask as I sway back and forth

"Cause I have been a teacher for a very long time. But you soon get to take my place once you learn how to cover your left side." She says

She swings her sword and stops right next to my left side, looking at me, quickly turning her sword around and hitting me with the hilt of the sword. I fall to my knees, gasping for air.

"This is why you don't keep your sides open." She says, holding her hand out and pulling me up "Now go find Annabeth. Training is over today, so her the basics of fighting."

"Huh? Yeah. I'm fine." I say and shake out of my trance
