Another Life (Thaluke)

Chapter 19

Luke's P.O.V.

I look at Jenesis as she starts to walk out of the house, waving goodbye to everybody, and shutting the door behind her.

"She's going to be fine Annabeth." Percy says

"I just worry, what if Chaos gets her while she's on her way home?" She says

"She said she'll come back tomorrow." I say "She knows how to fight against her father."

Annabeth looks at me then nods.

"Guys, we all should get some sleep, we've had a rough few days." I say

Everybody agrees then goes off to their houses or rooms.

I watch as Thalia and Annabeth head into one room and Silena and Beckondorf walks out of the apartment.

I walk out shortly after Zoë and the others, heading to our apartment.

The next morning, I hear somebody banging on our door. I get out of bed and stretch, walking towards the door, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

I open the door and see Jenesis standing there, looking around, a scared expression on her face as she holds her jacket close to her body.

"Jenesis, are you okay?" I ask

"Luke, he's sent his minions after me." She says

I look out the door and see somebody slowly walking down the street, yelling her name. I look at her as she watches it and makes her bike disappear, I grab her arm and pull her into the apartment.

"How long have they been chasing you?" I ask, looking at her bags under her eyes

"All night." She says

"Get some sleep on the couch." I say "I'll get you some blankets."

She goes to object but sees my face and nods and goes to the couch and lays down, grabbing one of the pillows and lays her head down.

I walk to the closet and pull a blanket out and lay it over her, smiling down at her.

"Luke, who was at the door earlier?" Beckondorf asks

"It was Jenesis." I say

He nods as he sees her on the couch.

"Her father's minions were chasing her all night. She needs the rest." I say
