Don't Forget Me [Jai Brooks fanfic]

Chapter 2

I walked in the corridor and I went straight to my locker. I introduced the code and opened it. I took the books and stuff I needed for class and suddenly Eve appeared next to me.

-          Hi hey hey – she told me with a huge smile in her face.

-          How are you doing?

-          I have come to school with Mark today. All alone! – she screamed so happy.

-          Oh my god, are you being fucking serious? – I asked while shutting my locker – That’s great!

-          Yes, I know right. He has invited me to go dinner tonight I’m so, so, so excited, it’ll be so romantic.

She kept on talking about Mark and his natural beauty, his athletic qualities and stuff. I wasn’t listening to her. I mean it’s my bestie and all this things but she sometimes is really annoying. She’s changing her boyfriend every week and yet she knows that I have never been with someone but she doesn’t mind.

And I’m so upset because she has all things in life. She’s pretty and has a stunning body, she has all the boys she wants, she also gets great marks. And then there’s me. The “cute” girl who is Eve’s best friend. That’s all I am.

We continued walking and I looked up to see a group of 5 boys talking and swearing. Oh my god they were the boys at the shopping center. I covered my face with my brown hair but I couldn’t help taking a look to prove if they were really making fun of me.

All of them saw me but they looked away. That kind of made me happy. But there was one of them staring at me. He was staring me with his big brown eyes and I quickly turned around. Ok so maybe they were not laughing at me in general but I’m sure he was.

When we arrived to room 201, Eve and I separated because she was in another class. She kissed my cheek and then I entered the classroom. As soon as I sit on the back of the class (because only the nerds sit at the first line and I wasn’t a freak) the bell ringed.

Then the guy who was staring at me on the corridor and another one who was totally like him walked through the door. They looked like that guys on teen movies who greet everyone who is popular at class with a cool handshake and blinked to the girls.

I have been witnessing this shit every day of the year and it annoys me as hell. They think they are super cool or something.

But then these boys sat next to me. There wasn’t any other empty seats so they threw their school bags on the floor and sat on theirs chairs as if they were the kings of the class. Stupids.

The class started and the twins couldn’t stop talking.

-          Jai and Luke Brooks please can you shut up? – said the physics teacher, Mike.

-          Of course mister Mike – said Jai. Everyone laughed with him.

What he said wasn’t funny why the fuck are they laughing he’s just a dumb guy, ugh.

But obviously the “kings” kept on talking and talking. And every day we have had this class it’s the same story. Mike warns them to shut up but they don’t fucking shut the fuck up. And I’m getting tired of this kids because they didn’t let me listen to the teacher.

-          Can you both please shut the fuck up? – I said aggressively. I didn’t mean to say it, I never do this things but what the hell I wanted to listen because it was really important to me to pass the subject.

Everyone was staring at me at the moment and I turned red.

Jai opened his mouth to reply but he shut it up. I nodded happily and Mike kept on talking to break the silence.

After some minutes I hear a “pssst”. Someone next to me was trying to get my attention. I turned my head and that Jai Brooks and his brother Luke were looking at me.

I rolled my eyes and smiled at them fakely.

-          What – I whispered.

-          Your mum’s so cute, isn’t she? – Luke said. They both started to laugh and it seemed like they were really enjoying it.

-          And those bitches who were with you were so cute too. How many dollars have they spent in facial surgery?  - I replied.

They both opened their mouths and started laughing even more, this time they were even crying.

-          You both are so stupid, you know? – I said rolling my eyes and then I kept on listening to the teacher.

They felt kind of hurt when I told this but I didn’t fucking care because they were such some dickheads. But they couldn’t help not to talk so they spent the rest of the class doing stupid things because they were stupid.

-          Well after the class ends up, I’m going to tell who your project partners’ are another time because Jace has quitted this subject to do art and I had had to make the pairs again – said Mike approaching to his desk and taking some papers.

Shit I needed that freak to be my partner now I’m going to fail this physics shit. Shit.

-          Well I’ll better put it up on the noticeboard, ok? – he finally said.

I packed my stuff and approached to the noticeboard with my fingers crossed. Please I need someone clever. Please.

But then a cunt placed in front of me and I couldn’t see the paper. I tried to move him aside but I couldn’t. I looked up and saw Jai’s stupid face smiling at me.

-          Hi new partner! – he screamed.

I shocked at the moment. Holy shit holy shit holy shit how could I be so unlucky?This is not fair. I pushed him a little and covered my face with my two hands, closing my eyes. When I opened them he was still looking at me.

-          What – I said.

-          You’re blocking the door so I can’t move out the classroom so what do you want me to do? – he said raising one of his eyebrows.

I realized he was right and moved aside the door and the rest of the class went out to the corridor.

I still think this can’t be true. I’m definitely not going to New York on Holidays.
