Chapter 10

I spent a lot of time looking me through the mirror when I realized it was already 3 so I picked my handbag and the iPhone and walked outside.

The boys were there so I got in the car.

Sorry you had to wait, I was cleaning up my bedroom – I lied.

No problem – said Luke.

I smiled at him and then at Jai. He smiled me back with his bottom teeth. I seriously die when he does it.

They started singing some catchy songs at the radio, they did it pretty good.  Jai was singing while looking at me and doing weird faces and taking my hand. That made me feel butterflies on my stomach and I couldn’t stop looking into his eyes.

Beau parked the car and we got out. I firstly saw Eve with another girl having fun and I felt hurt. She had replaced me so quickly.

Jai noticed it and put his arm around my shoulder, hugging me, and we continued walking like that. I felt much more secure like this.

We walked past Eve and her new best friend to class. Luke, Jai and I went to the habitual classroom and Beau greeted James and Skip and went to the other side of the corridor.

We sat together at the end of the class as we did last time and we waited a teacher to come and give us the marks. I was so nervous.

Jai and Luke were so cute trying to make me relax but I just couldn’t.

Then a teacher came in and started saying our names.

Jai and Luke picked their final marks and stood on the door, waiting for me.

Then the teacher called me and I stood up and took them. I had my grades on my hands.

We went outside and sit on a bench.

Okay let’s open them in 3… 2… 1… - said Luke and we opened them.

They were screaming because they had only failed three subjects what was pretty ridiculous and I looked at them laughing.

Jai, have you passed physics? – I asked him worried. He took a look at his grades.

Shit I failed – he answered.

Shit, shit, shit, shit. I probably have failed as well.

I quickly took a look at the paper.

I have failed – I said -. Holy shit.

Jai sat next to me sadly. He hugged me tight and I laid my head on his shoulder. But then I realised something and I turned around looking at him face to face.

You know what? – I said trying to repress a smile – My family is going to New York for a month and I’m alone so we’ll be able to go out every day together – I screamed hugging him.

He smiled a lot and screamed with me. Then he stood in the bench and started dancing so weirdly moving his hands up and down.

He improvised a happy song while doing the dance and I couldn’t stop laughing.

Hey, don’t cover your mouth – he said pointing at me.

I took my hand off and continued laughing even more because Luke was also standing on the bench dancing with Jai.

Then I saw Beau, James and Skip coming towards us looking funny. Skip and Beau came running and also stood up in the bench dancing like the twins and singing.

James came next to me with his arms crossed.

We are not normal – he commented while we were staring at the boys dancing.

I know right – I laughed with him.

*TWO DAYS LATER*

Goodbye! Have a good time! – I screamed to my family who were on the taxi heading to the airport.

When I arrived home with my final grades I acted as if I really wanted to go to New York because if I were happy my mum would probably made me go with them.

So I tried to look so sad and stuff and helped them to pack the bags this morning. And now they have just left.

This is going to be the best summer ever for sure.
