"Hey Bobby man, thanks for letting me crash." We were all laying down now, finally. With the lights turned off.
"No problem."
"Night."
"Night."
~~
Where am I? Why am I here?Who the hell is that old man on stage?
My voice echoed. I looked around, there were other people here. But they were all sitting in seats. I realized, I'm in a theatre. But where's the... Oh there's the music. I looked up at the stage to see an old guy singing.
Why the hell is he singing?
I'm talking inside my head, but it sounds as though I'm talking out load.
"Dream a little dream of me..."
I've heard this before?
No I haven't. But it sounds so familiar.
"Beep. Beep. Beep."
I was waking up.
~~
"Dinger, I had this really weird dream." Bobby said.
"Look man, I don't wanna hear about your crazy dream right now, okay?"
"It was about that old guy, that, ya know, from the shortcut. T- t- that with the, shortcut we take every day to school?" I had a dream too, kinda sounds like his. Bobby inhaled. "Well, He was in it."
"Bobby that's just stupid." Dinger was right, for once. Dreams are just stupid. Mine was and so was Bobby's.
" C'mon we gotta get ready for school." I said getting up. I had showered the night before.
~~
"You're not really gonna wear that are you?" They both were looking at my outfit.
"There is nothing wrong with my outfit." I was wearing a short sleeve light pink button up and my black and red plaid skirt with my black dress shoes.
"Please don't walk next to me." Dinger said.
"Oh, puh- lease, you ripped your own shirt and pants. Like c'mon" I laughed, earning a death glare.
They pulled out a can of mousse and started putting it in their hair.
"Calm down, I don't even use that much."
"'Cause you're not cool." Dinger said.
"Aww man, we're all out." Bobby tried getting mousse from the now empty can.
"Oh, look I found some." Dinger had tossed Bobby a can. It looked a lot like mine.
"Hey man, why are you going through my stuff?" I grabbed my bag from him and zipped it up.
~~
"Mom! Dad! I'm leaving!" I yelled as I ran after Bobby and Dinger who had left me behind. I shut the door and ran to them.
"Oh Lilah we have some friends, we would really appreciate it if you don't embarrass us, we would like you to meet." Bobby said putting his arm around my shoulders.
"Me? Embarrassing? Never." We were walking down the street when I spotted a couple with two girls walking behind them.
"I don't know Lilah, I mean it looks like your wearing my grandmothers clothing." Dinger pulled up my skirt not that far. "And possibly her underwear."
"Hey man, hands off my cousin." Bobby pushed Dinger off me.
"Hey, hey just trying to prove my point here." Dinger threw his hands up in defense.
