Y/N was staring at her small TV screen in complete shock. It showed a picture of Will and the reporter was saying something about Will Byers, the boy who came back to life and that the body found in the lake was fake. Y/N wasn't paying much attention as to how he came back because all she cared about was that he was alive! She could hardly believe it but she was thanking God that he was still alive. I didn't lose him after all...! Not that he was mine to begin with but... still. 

Y/N's eyes started to get blurry from the tears that began to fill them. She let out a soft sob from the pure happiness that she was feeling right now. Words could not explain how happy and grateful she was about her first love being alive. Yeah.. she's twelve but she knew her feelings were true after finding out Will was "dead." Y/N knew right then and there that she actually loved him and that he was no simple crush which is what her mother thought he was. But her mother didn't know about the horrible pain that had been brought upon her daughter that night. Y/N's stomach dropped, her heart feeling like it was just stabbed and then ripped out of her chest, feeling like the world around her had completely fell apart. She had never cried so hard, so loud for so long ever before in her twelve year old life. 

But as Y/N kept looking at that small picture of Will on the TV, the light was coming back into her eyes, her heart was being mended back together, tears of joy were spilling from her eyes and she was laughing a little as she was crying at the same time. "MOM..!" Y/N shouted running up the stairs to tell her mom the news. "MOM! IT'S WILL! HE'S ALIVE!"

2 weeks later

It was lunchtime at Hawkins Middle School and the cafeteria was buzzing with excited children talking about how excited they were for Christmas. It's been a few days since Will started going back to school and it was a little hard for him at first since he would still think about the Upside Down and start to panic a little but his best friends were always right there next to him calming him down and saying that he was safe. But after these few days Will was starting to actually feel okay. 

Y/N was walking to her lunch table with a tray full of not the best food but it wasn't slop. She looked around for a few seconds as she was walking and there he was, smiling and laughing with his friends. Her heart started to beat faster and she could feel her face heat up. A smile started to spread across her face but then she suddenly tripped over something and fell on the floor on top of her food which was, of course, a sloppy joe sandwich, applesauce and broccoli with cheese. One side of her forehead hit the floor pretty hard and she let out an, "oww.."

A bunch of students around her burst into laughter and she heard a loud voice say, "you should really watch where you're going, blind dork!" The voice was Troy's.

Y/N started to cry from pain and embarrassment as she stood up and ran out of the cafeteria.

Will turned his attention towards the laughing and saw Y/N standing up with food all over her shirt and part of her neck. He saw her run out of the cafeteria, crying. It hurt him to see that happen to her, he started to feel really angry towards Troy but he was mostly worried about Y/N.

"What is wrong with him?" Mike asked as he glared towards Troy.

"Who knows... mental," Dustin said while shaking his head.

"Do you think Y/N's okay?" Will asked.

"Probably not. You should check on her Will," Lucas answered.

"Me?"

"Yeah man. You're the one who likes her after all," Dustin said, smirking.

"W-what? I don't like her..." Will lied. The blush quickly forming on his cheeks gave him away, even though the boys already knew for sure Will liked Y/N.
