Noble

I stood on the block waiting for him and his crew to show up. I was becoming impatient.

"You good G?" Mars asked me with his attention on his phone.

"I'm cool." I shrugged. The more time this goofy was taking the more impatient I am becoming.

"No ready to fuck shit up!" Grams laughed but I ain't find nothing funny. Dom put his hand on my girl, my queen, the mother of my first child. When he shows his face, it's no talking.

"I'm sneaking dude for sis but you could have that body. He owe you." Syn said as I nodded. When Cyrus came home and Lani sang like a canary about how this nigga thought he was tough shit by running his mouth and touching her, I already knew what I had to do. Syn got in touch with him and I told him to meet me, man to man. But this nigga is really pussy so I know he was coming deep. I only had myself, Mars, D, Grams, and Syn on deck. We'd probably be outnumbered, but we have more heart.

"I don't even wanna talk. I rather beat the fuck outta dude. He touched my girl? Yeah, okay, bet." I spoke shrugging.

"There they go. Them niggas goofyyyy." D laughed as I looked over seeing Dom and his clique of ten. He was shirtless and had a crowd behind him. Niggas like him couldn't move in silence.

"Look, Cyrus wanna talk to you." Mars said handing me his phone as I shook my head. I had been ignoring her calls since I got here. I can't let her talk me out of beating Dom's ass. "She crying bro."

"Fuck." I groaned. When she cried that definitely is my weak spot. "Stop crying baby."

"D-don't hurt him baby." She cried as I sighed.

"I got to Cy. I can't let any nigga think they can touch what's mines." I spoke angrily as Dom and his gassers got closer. If I let him slide, any other nigga would thinking playing with Cyrus was fair game.

"Baby, I d---"

"Cyrus are you listening to me? I'm not letting up on this clown." I spat. "Bye, I love you."

I ended the call and gave Mars his phone.

"You done?" Dom asked with a grin.

"Yeah. Square up." I spoke punching him in the face. He tried to come back but he wasn't ready and I was moving too fast for him. Before we knew it, everybody was fighting.

We were outnumbered and I could feel fists from everywhere but I wouldn't let up.

I couldn't really see what everyone else was doing until a shot rang out. Everyone began to flee from the scene as I moved around checking to see if any of my people got hurt.

"Noble, you're bleeding!" Syn yelled as I looked down and saw the blood that stained my white shirt.

I had been shot.

"Please tell me something! I need to know if he's okay!" I yelled at the nurse at the front desk. She wasn't being direct with anything and it was killing me not to know where my man was.

"Cyrus calm down." Lani said grabbing me as I pushed her off me. It was always easy for people to tell others to be calm when your situation didn't affect them. I bet if Mars was laying in a hospital bed her amount of remorse would be different.

"Shut up." I said as she shrugged tired of getting me to chill out. Until I could see Noble, I would never calm down.

"Cyrus, sit down!" My mother exclaimed as I rolled my eyes.

"No." I spoke honestly getting back to harassing the nurse. I was so close to slapping her that I could feel it. I felt all types of bad feeling like the start of this problem.

"Sis." Mars said walking over to us along with D, Grams, Syn, Mama Deb, and a man I haven't seen before. Lani, Isis, and Ken greeted their men. I cried as I hugged Mama Deb. She looked drained and tired.

"Is he okay?"

"Yes, he just lost a lot of blood. His father gave him blood. He's awake and fine baby." She said as I sighed of relief and rubbed my belly.

"His father?" I asked slightly confused as the unknown man who looked so much like Noble that approached me.
He looked very thin and frail but it was obvious that he was Noble's father. I wanted to hug him. He looked in need of a hug.

"Nasir." He nodded as we shook hands. The resemblance he shared with Noble was breathtaking. He looked like he literally made Noble all by himself.

"Nice to meet you, Cyrus." I smiled.

"You dancing with the devil, sis." Grams teased as I rolled my eyes. I was in the mood for any humor at this point. Noble could have died protecting my honor and here comes his nonexistent father, seemingly trying to make amends.

"Can I see him?" I asked Mama Deb. I'd deal with Noble's father's new appearance a little later. I have bigger problems.

"You're the only one he wants to see. His room is right down there." She smiled before kissing my cheek as I hugged her one last time.

My hands grew sweaty at the anticipation of seeing Noble. I can't understand why I'm so nervous.

"Baby?" I said slowly opening the door. He looked so unbothered with a plate of food in one hand and a remote in the other.

"Hey Baby Girl."

"Fuck you." I said rushing over to him as I scanned his body.

"What I did?" He laughed placing his food and remote on the stand beside him.

"I told you not to do that." I frowned as he laid me and bed with him.

"I'd do anything to protect you so I don't even wanna hear it. I'm alive and well, so drop it."

"You just think you run everything huh?" I asked holding his face as he nodded before kissing my nose. "Who shot you?"

"I don't know but when I find out it's gonna be caskets and eulogies."

"Baby, don't talk like that. Let God handle it."

"What?" He laughed.

"I'm serious." I rolled my eyes.

"When you let God handle them bitches you be beating up?"

"The God in me beat the bitches up babe." I laughed. I know I sounded like a hypocrite telling Noble to let it go because I never do but I can't take my baby getting hurt again, especially not over a nut ass nigga like Dom. "But really babe I hate the thought of losing you."

"I'm not going anywhere."

"Promise?"

"I promise." He said as I decided to let him find out that his father saved his life on his own. I'm just happy he's here.
