Kendall took a deep breath. "I needed to tell you.." He looked into her eyes. He couldn't do it.

"Tell me what? Kendall, you're scaring me." Christina spoke.

He couldn't hurt her feelings. Not now. She was going to walk down the aisle in a few hours. If he told her, feelings would get hurt.

"Kendall!" Her voice brought him back to reality. He shook his head.

"Nothing. Just wanted to make sure you were fine." He looked down at the floor, he couldn't lie to her face.

"No, you weren't. Kendall, what's been bothering you? You've been acting really weird and I wanna know why." She placed her index finger under his chin and gently pulled it up. Staring into his green eyes she whispered, "Don't lie to me."

He placed his hands on either side of her face. "Why are you so blind?" He began, this was it. Christina opened her mouth to speak but closed it, knowing he wasn't done. He pressed their foreheads together, still holding on to her face. She closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around him as she usually did. "I'm in love with you."

"W-What?" She stuttered, steping back away from his grasp.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry I'm doing this right now but before you say I do, I needed you to know." He pleaded. Crouching down against the door, holding on to the handle as if he let go, he would fall. "I don't mean to confuse you, I just wanted you to know the truth. I fell in love with you since we were little. Since your cute little five year old self walked into kindergarten class and sat next to me, I wished to sit next to you for the rest of my life, even if I didn't know what I was thinking. Your first heartbreak, god I wanted to beat his ass up for cheating on you. Remember that? In eighth grade when that girl bullied you for talking to her boyfriend even though it was just a class project. In high school when that one guy placed a hand on you and you couldn't get him off of you, I punched his face. For you. Because I loved you, and I didn't want you hurt. "

"Kendall.. I-"

He ran to the middle of the bedroom and took hold of her arms. "Tell me how you feel about this. Just tell me." His eyes watered as she refused to look at him. She wouldn't answer him.

"Why didn't you tell me this before?" He could see the tears start to form in her eyes. "Why now? Why are you doing this the day of the wedding?"

"It wasn't my plan to tell you right now. If I could go back in time, trust me, I would have told you before." He said, Christina had pushed his arms away. Hurt, Kendall turned around to face the mirror of the dresser. Placing both his hands on the edge of the furniture. "I'm sorry I'm doing this to you."

"Last night.. You asked me.." Christina whispered, Kendall looked up to see her reflection and found her crying too.

He nodded, "I was serious about the question. I did fall in love with you. I just needed to know if you would cancel the wedding." In an instant Christina's face went from sad to furious.

"You thought I would just call this whole thing off because you just decided to tell me last minute!"

"No, No. This wasn't planned!" He turned around this time, facing her.

"Then?" Her tears slid down her cheeks. She couldn't believe her best friend thought she would call everything off. How he thought everything would just be fine the moment he mentioned he was in love with her. Like she felt the same way.

"I'm not the bad guy here." He assured her.

"So I am?" Her hands turned into fists.

"No," He sighed. "No one is. It was my mistake telling you. I'm sorry."
