Chapter 17

DAY OF THE BALL -*€€*

It was 12 pm and I had just woken up, the ball starts at 5 but we need to leave the house by 4 which left me with 4 hours to get ready.

I stretched my hands up and hear the satisfying cracks come from my elbows, dragging myself to the bathroom and look in the mirror, I looked like a cave man.

After finishing my shower I squeezed the water out of my long wavy hair and wrapped myself up with a warm fluffy towel. Well I said to myself, let's look like a girl for once.

It's not that I don't know how to do make up, but I'm not professional to say the least, I put a soft brown eye shadow in the crease of my eye and a light shimmer on my eye lid to match the dress, and obviously I put the usual face makeup.

After doing my make up I started to do my hair, while I was doing my makeup it dried a little so all I had to do was dry the rest of with a blow drier, I ended up just putting curls in my hair then brushing them through with my hair brush. By now it was around 3.00pm.

I slipped the dress onto my body and zipped up the side, we ended up buying glittery silver heels to go with my dress, I looked at myself in the mirror, to say the least I actually looked 'pretty' and I was happy with it.

As I walked down the Long set of stairs I noticed the red material of my dress dragging against the floor as I reached the end of the stair case I looked back and lifted the silky material, as I turned around to continue I saw Trevor, his jaw was dropped his eyes looked me up and down liek he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

While he was checking me out I took the chance to take in what he was wearing, he was wearing. A grey suit that fitted him perfectly showing g off his toned body.

"ehem" I said clearing my throat, he snapped out of it and looked at my face with confusion.

"hey don't you wear glasses" he said still looking at me confused.
"It's called contacts smart one" I lied smoothly
"ok we better get going, princess" he said with a wink.

That was so hot.

Wait what am I thinking ugh.

We get into his car and he started it. We've been driving for 15 minutes now and I sighed knowing that there was another 45 to go.

We stopped at a red light and Trevor turned to look at me.

He frowns and his eyebrows furrow slightly. "hey Riley" he asks

"Yeah" I say back with my brows raised.

"Did you bring a jacket" I look at him In confusion "um no I didn't think it was cold"
I said back. "Yh I know but your dress is kinda revealing" he says with a scowl.

"Um and that's not your business" I said in a questioning tone. He clenches his jaw slightly and his grip tightens around the steering wheel. His face still held the scowl.
"well a lot of disrespectful men are going to look at you" he said now his tone was rude and demanding. I smirked figuring out why he was so annoyed. I looked at him and smirked, "why Trevor you jealous?" I said turning my head. This time he clenched his jaw several times and he nibbled on his lip in annoyance, still ignoring my question.

Satisfied with his reaction I turned my head and looked out the window with a smirk still plastered on my face. I will not let no one control me that's my rule.

AT THE BALL****

We walk in hand in hand, he said that we have to look "happy to be coming here together". As soon as we walk in a lot of rich business people great his mother and him, i just stood there silently, smiling politely and shaking people's hands.

When the everyone finished greeting us we sat down. About five minutes later the man with the microphone informs us that food will be coming out in 10 minutes, thank god i was starving.

To occupy my self in them 10 minutes I unlocked my phone to see if I had any messages.

Melissa: hey I got a fight for you tomorrow you interested??

I looked up from my phone and bit my lip as I tried to decide.

Me:  yeah sure book me in x

With that I locked my phone faced mg head up front eh table I was sitting at, observing to people around me, I took a close look to make sure there was no harm in the room, as usual though I was tense and ready at any time.

I look up to see a sever placing a delicious smelling plate of food in front of me, I looked up and smiled great fully at him.

They had served us a good portion of rice with salad and chicken on the side.

I look to my left to see Trevor looking around as well as if her was looking for someone, meh whatever I love food.

I dig into my food and always kept and eye out for my surroundings.

I look to see Trevor talking to a girl that looked around our age, her hand was resting on his bicep as they laughed together, I felt something in the pit of my stomach, I just pushed it aside though.

To say the least the girl was stunning.  She had light brown hair that came past her waste, her face was the perfect structure that any woman would envy, to make her evening more gorgeous she had deep blue eyes that made you get lost in them she wore a tight red dress that clung to her like a second skin.

Trevor then turned to me and noticed I was staring at them, he smirked slightly.

"Riles This is my cousin Beth" he said as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder, I felt that feeling that I had go, well that was weird.

I flash her a half smile showing off my dimples, "hi Beth it's so nice to meet you" I say as I shake her hand.

she shakes it back smiling in return.

"So Trevor I'm assuming this is our girl friend" she says with a gleam of mischief in her eyes, Trevor starting coughing and I chocked on my drink that I was drinking.

We both looked at each other in disgust and looked back at beth

"No Beth, were friends" Trevor said to her
"Yep friends" I said after him once again flashing my dimples.

She still had a slight smirk, "okay bye love birds my parents are waiting for me" she said hugging Trevor then hugging me  "oh and hopefully I can see you again someday I like you Riley" she said smiling then then walking away.

after the ball had ended we both walked outside, my feet were killing me and I needed to get these shoes off ASAP. I stop Trevor and tell him to eat for me as I remove my shoes.

it was dark silent and relaxing.

We both just didn't talk on the way to his car, I sat in the passengers side and he started to drive off, I felt my eye lids become heavy and I eventually dozed off into the world of dreams.
