My goal is over 800 words on the chapter, let's see if I reach it!

We had a huge party at my apartment with all of my family, including my aunt's and uncles. We had cake, ice cream, and watched baseball.

After about three hours of socializing people started leaving and left me and my mom in silence. My mom ended up living with me that night until morning, when in was cleared to be unsupervised.

"So," she said sitting on the couch, "how's your boyfriend?" "He's great. Everything I expected and more." She sighed and I sat down next to her, looking at her tall frame, that's where I got it from.

"Your father means everything to me and more." She took both my hands. "I'd would love to meet him even more sometime, before I have to go back." I sat, thinking for awhile.

"I can see if Kris is up for having you guys come to a game. Maybe you can meet all his friends too." I nodded reassuring her anxious look. "That sounds wonderful." We let go of each others hands.

I guided her into my room where she slept that night, and I slept in the, not so clean, living room. That's when I remembered my birthday is in like... 4 days. I've been too busy to focus on my personal life.

I've been out of work for awhile, surgery, and time with family and Kris, I don't know I thinking just got caught up. It wasn't long before my alarm was going off to take Myles on his morning run at 8.

I got up and went to my room, careful not to wake up my mom, and grabbed clothes and went to the shower. I threw on my Cubs athletic tank top, matching running shorts, and royal blue Nikes. I was a pretty dedicated fan, if you can't tell.

I left my apartment, not forgetting to lock it in the process of holding Myles back from sprinting down the long hallway. We always took the stairs, more exercise for us. The entire time I thought about Kris. He felt like a soul mate.

I have to have my parents meet him, and I need to soon. I thought as I was jogging to a finish at my apartment complex. When I got back up to my apartment my mom was in the kitchen, practically making a feast that could feed and army.

"Hey sweetie!" She said, still in her pajamas as she was flipping a pancake. I painted and took Myles off his leash and let him run to his water dish. "Hey mom! It was  cold one today." I said then winked afterwards and we both started lightly laughing.

After about 10 more minutes of bacon flipping, and eggs being scrambled we sat down to our feast. It was just us two, but my mom was used to cooking for three other men, so I can see it as a habit.

We sat in silence all through breakfast, and same through lunch. We were both silent during meals, it was always what we did at home. The guys would talk about football and baseball and we would just listen, maybe glare at each other every once in awhile.

Those were the times, I thought as I look a big bite of sandwich. I sighed and looked out the window, looking at all of the attractions. They were things I saw everyday, but tourists saw almost once in a life time.

I washed the dishes and my mom went into my room to get her things together, then went to the bathroom to get her bathroom things. She left around three, so I had the rest of the night to myself.

I was bored, so I just decided to see if Kris can come over. I pulled out my phone, typed in my password and went straight to his contact, pressing text.

T- Hey do you want to come over and watch a few movies, I'm bored and my mom just left?

*five minutes later*

K- Ya, I can be over at your place in about 30 minutes.

T- :)

He was at my house almost exactly when he said he would be, and I let him in a huge grin on my face. No shame that I was wearing sweats and a Bryant t-shirt from college. "Hello beautiful." He said kissing my forehead, and then pulled me into a hug. I hated that I had to look up to him.

"Hello handsome." I said and he walked in, taking of his jacket and sitting it on the table near the door. I closed the door and went and sat on the couch. "What do you want to watch?" I said pulling up Netflix.

He sat down, and thought for a minute. "Alexander's Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day." I took shock to that reply. In hadn't seen that movie since I was 12. "That's an excellent choice Mr. Bryant." I said kissing him playfully then playing the movie before he could react.

He didn't end up leaving until 9, which is when I decided I need my bed back. I ran and jumped on my bed, curling myself up in the sheets. I was so happy to have him in my life. Sometimes the word happy was all you needed to explain the most simple thing.
