Esperanza's POV
I was aloud to leave the hospital a week later. Since my leg was pretty injured i'm on crutches. I was okay with it mostly because I was with my family. "Ready chica?" Letty asked walking into my hospital room. I nodded while trying to put on my shoes. "Need help?" I smiled and handed her my boots. "You know I'm really glad I have you as a daughter."
"I'm glad you're my mom." We hugged for what felt like forever. Sadly we had to let go. "Why can't we all just go home. It's safer together than apart..." I've already fought with Dom and Han about this. Mia wouldn't let me bring it up. Everyone else has been acting to weird around me to want to mention it. Brian has been straight up ignoring me.
"Chica. I don't like this either. I've almost lost your father before. It was the scariest thing, but do you know why I don't worry as much anymore?" I shook my head no letting the tears fall. "He never gives up. Especially on family." I kept crying. "Alright chica. There's something you're not telling me. Why don't you want them to go?"
"I-I don't want to loose them... I-I can't be a-alone a-again..." I cried into her shoulder. "I was alone for so long. I don't want to go back to that life. Please promise you will never leave me. Please" I looked into my mom's eyes. Fear was taking over me again. I didn't want it to but there was nothing I could do to stop it.
"Chica I will never let that happen. You are my kid. There's nothing that's going to change that. I'm going to be with you. Even when I'm gone I will still be with you in spirit. You are never getting rid of me or your dad He's a strong guy. He can take care of himself. The team will work together to make sure he and Han come home safe and sound. Now come on Chica. We gotta get goin' if we want to make our flight." We chuckled while she helped me up and handed me my crutches. We walked out of the room to see Mia in a heated argument with Brian. They seemed to snap out of the argument when they saw us.
"Hey E how are you feeling?" Brian asked. After ignoring me the past week this is the first thing he says. I kept walking out of the hospital where I saw Dom sitting on the hood of his car talking to Han.
"Hey kiddo. Ready to go?" Dom asked. I sensed that Letty and Dom exchanges some looks. "Kiddo you know that everything is going to be fine. Give me one month. If I don't get the guy I'll give the case to Hobbs and come home to you and Letty. If I catch the guy sooner, as soon as Hobbs and I put him in jail I will be back here and in you will be in my arms. Just give me a month E. That's all I'm asking for." I looked up to him.
"A lot can happen in a month. I-I..." my voice just would come to me. Dom sighed and was about to get into the car. "One month. Caught or not. Not one day longer. And you have to promise to be careful out there. I don't want you coming back in a body bag." My lips formed a little smirk.
"I promise kid. Don't get into too much trouble while i'm gone. Be nice to your Aunt and your mother. Call me when you get home. Call me everyday," Dom said pulling me into a bone crushing hug causing me to drop my crutches.
"Dad. Can't. Breathe." He let go and laughed before pulling Letty into our hug. "I don't want to go, but if we don't leave now we're going to miss our flight." We all laughed as he let go. "I promise we'll call when we get to the house. I love you!" I kissed my dad's cheek while my mom helped me grab my crutches. I went to our car, but before getting in I turned around and got one last look at my dad. I knew that everything was going to be okay. We got into the car and drove to the airport. To home we go.
