I remember closing my eyes. I remember the touch of the pillow, my parents dragging the warm, soft blanket on top of my seven year old self. I remember my silver eyes closing and only seeing darkness. I remember feeling my mother strock my dark red hair. I remember feeling my father kiss my clear skin. I remember hearing them both begin to leave my room and close the door behind them. And then I'm left to the darkness and silence of my room. Drifting off into a deep sleep, I slowly found myself opening my eyes and seeing a beautiful meadow cover with  purple, blue, white, and green flowers. The sun was shining down on the meadow and the trees that made a wall surrounding the meadow swayed slightly in the breeze. You could actually smell the sweetness of the flowers and feel the heat from the sun. I looked down at the grass beneath my feet and realized that I was still in my blue pj top and pants. I then saw a boy around my age with black hair. He was wearing all the versions of green that could be possible and his outfit was a bit like those of the male fairies in storybooks Jane would read to me. He was looking up at the blue sky before a blue butterfly flew past his face and headed over towards me, making him turn and look at me. He slowly began to walk towards me as the butterfly landed on my nose making me cross my eyes to look at it.

"Who are you?" the boy asked, he was now standing right infront of me and the butterfly flew away giving me a better look at his face. His skin was pale but not that much. His eyes were a mixture of blue and green.

"Erika Foster, who are you?" I said that was all the courage I had.

"Loki, Prince of Asgard" he said full of confidence as well as raising his right eyebrow.

"What's asgard?" I asked quietly. He took a big sigh before answering.

"A place where gods live, or to be more correct, where the norse gods live." he said matter-of-factly.

"If you are a god, then why are you young like me wouldn't you be old and wrinkly like grandma?" I asked as I watched him sit down on the grass, which I slowly followed and did as well.

"Well I thought that if I was looking like my younger self then you might be easier to talk to, I doubt you would talk with a strange, old, wrinkly man now would you?" he says with a smirk.

"That's true but how old are you really?" I asked as he lay back on the grass.

"1047 years old" he said with his eyes closed. We then fell into a comfortable silence, just listening to the birds as they flew passed on the winds.

"Why are you in my head? In my dreams" I asked.

"Reasons" he responded.

"Ok then if you are not gonna tell me then how do I know that you're real? You could just be a part of my imagination?" I whispered as I began to lie down next to him.

"How 'bout every night I visit you in your dreams and when you grow, I'll grow too, that way we can grow up together and be friends." he said as he opened his eyes and looked at me.

"Really?" I asked with a smile growing on my face.

"Yeah, I promise." he responded. We then began to talk about ourselves. I found out that he had an older brother named Thor and I told him about my older sister Jane. we talked about our favorite colours and the books that he reads, and the ones I must read when I get older.

Then everything began to get foggy and fade in colour.

"Loki, what's happening!" I screamed as I tried to grab onto him only for my hands to fall through his body.

"It's ok Erika, you're just waking up." he said in a calm voice.

"But I don't want to wake up!!"

"It's ok, I'll see you again" he said before everything vanished completely. I felt my body shaking and a pair of rough hands pushing into my shoulders. I opened my eyes to see Jane staring down at me.

"Get up Erika!!! You have to go to school" she said as she walked over and opened the curtains before leaving the room. As I began to get out of bed I looked out the window and noticed a blue butterfly sitting on the window sill outside my room. It began to slowly flap its wings before flying away.

I wonder if Loki was real or just my imagination?

I wonder If I'll ever see him again?
