First Trigger

When I walk into my room, I see something on the bed. I walk over to it and stop as I hear the intercom.
"There should be an object on each of your beds. Do not pick them up yet."
I respectfully follow the orders of the strange voice. A couple seconds later, I hear a noticeably loud zap noise coming from the boy's side. After that happens, the voice comes back on the intercom.
"If you do not follow direct orders you will be punished. After this trigger, you may be let back into the common room. All triggers are different, for every person, and for every memory. They are an object that has to do with a memory. So when you touch it, it triggers the memory. Hence the name. To make use of your trigger, you just have to hold it in your hands and it will work. You may do this now."
I walk over and sit down on the bed, just in case. I touch my trigger, which seems to be a necklace with a moon on it. The next thing I know, I am in a bedroom, looking at myself in the mirror. I look the same as I do now, and I am seeming to be getting myself ready for the day. I hear a woman downstairs.
"Come on, Kiana! You're going to be late! And on your birthday, no less." The woman says.
"I'm coming, mom. You don't have to make such a big deal about it." I say to my mother as I walk downstairs.
"I do have to make a big deal about it. You're turning 17!" She calls out from what I assume to be the kitchen, because I can hear the sound of food cooking in pans.
"I'm leaving! See you after school." I say after getting car keys off of a table.
"Just wait, just wait. I'm washing my hands right now, I'll come in there in a second. I have something for you."
"Well, hurry up. You were the one fussing about me being late on my birthday." I say, almost out the door. My mother rushes in the room with a small, thin box in her hand. I see that we look like we could be sisters.
"I said don't leave yet! Open this first. It's very important." She says as she hands the box to me.
I open the box and gasp. It's a moon necklace.
"I love it." I say as I hug my mother.
"There's something you need to know. We'll talk about it after school, or else you'll be late." She says as I put the necklace on and leave.
And then, it fells like I am snapped back to reality. I want to be back in that world, with those people. I want to be late for school. As long as I'm not here. Stuck, here. I put the necklace on. It feels familiar. And then I hear the door click and I open the door and leave. I see my friend and I ask her what hers was. She tells me that she learned her name. It's Selena. Her trigger was a necklace too, just like mine. I tell her all about mine.
After this we go and talk to the boys. I haven't really noticed what they look like yet, until now. They are both around 6 foot. One of them, the one with the door closest to mine has short blond hair, but it's like a darkish blonde. He has blue eyes and a muscular build with a rectangular jawline.
The other one, with the far door, has short brown hair, with brown eyes and a chiseled jawline with athletic build, just like his friend.
"So, I'm Bader, I guess." Says the blond one.
"I'm Proteus, but I guess I like being called 'teus better. I'm the one who got shocked."
Says the brunette.
We both tell them who we are and then the intercom turns on again.
"Now that you've had your first trigger, there is something all of you should know."
