The sound of my alarm blaring woke me up and I groaned. I hit the snooze button before it could start up again before getting out of bed and making my way to the bathroom to shower. Today was the first day of school after three months of summer vacation. I turned the shower on and let the water heat up while I brushed my teeth and peed. After those were done, I quickly strolled out of my panties and tossed my gray shirt over my head before jumping into the steaming shower and sighed. Closing my eyes, I let the water relax my muscles before grabbing my Jasmine scented 2 in 1 shampoo and lathered my hair. Once I washed it out I grabbed my lilac scented body wash before squirting a small amount of it onto the loofa and washed my body. The shower was filled with different scents by the time I was done. Turning the water off, I grabbed my fluffy blue towel and dried my body off before wrapping it around my chest and walking out of the bathroom while running another through my hair.

I grabbed my phone and went to the Spotify list and pressed shuffle Honeymoon by Lana Del Ray filters through the speakers while I got ready. Since it was still technically summer still, I decided to dress in a flora thigh high dress and threw on a military green cardigan over it and peach pink peep toe heels before applying some make up and leaving my hair to air dry naturally before grabbing my YSL shoulder bag. I looked in the mirror and smiled.
I turned my phone off after pausing the song which was One Direction's Steal My Girl. I put my phone in my pocket before I walked out of my room and made my way downstairs to get something to eat considering school didn't start until 8:45 and it was only 8:15.
"Morning beautiful family" I greeted my siblings and parents who smiled
"Morning Avery" they greeted and I grinned.
"So excited to start school? This is you last year before you leave to North Carolina" mom said as she placed a plate filled with bacon, eggs, sausage and French toast in front of me and I nodded
"Yup, I still can't get over the fact that I got accepted to Duke" I said and Dad smiled
