Y/N's POV

I had just recently auditioned to be in the new singing show in town, and fortunately, I managed to get in. Mr. Buster Moon told us that day we had to rest up for the week so we could be prepared for future rehearsals. I was heading towards the big building as I saw all the other participants coming in, some were nervous, some were happy.

I quickly went inside as my long, white, bushy tail followed behind me. Everyone headed in a certain direction, as if they knew where to go, but I on the other hand, was very lost. I began to follow a pig woman to what presumed to be the stage. A small koala appeared in, wearing a huge toothy smile.

"Hello everyone! Welcome to your first rehearsal. For those who may not know me, my name is Buster Moon." He greeted. People smiled and nodded. "Today, I will give you a list of songs that you must choose from. I will also be partnering some of you." He explained, his assistant gave all of us papers and I skimmed through the songs. Okay, there's Call Me Maybe, Stay With Me, Shake It Off, OOH! I love I'm Still Standing. Maybe I could do that o- My thoughts got interrupted as I heard him say "Johnny, you will be partnered with Y/N."

I tilted my head up and spotted Buster standing in front of a gorilla, whom I predicted to be Johnny, looked towards my direction. A warm smile painted itself across my lips, and I made my way towards him. "Excuse me, Mr. Moon, it says here that I should be playing piano. I...haven't played piano since I was a kid." Johnny spoke, Buster smiling shortly after. "You can get lessons from my assistant!" He said. The lizard smiled, her eye somehow falling off in the process. "I can teach him. I know how to play the piano." I piped up. "Wonderful! It's settled then. Your rehearsal room is over there," he informed cheerfully, pointing at an empty glass room.

Me and Johnny silently went inside, not a word was said. A piano rested in the far corner, looking almost untouched. "Alright, do you have any songs in mind?" I asked Johnny. "I mean, I was thinking of doing 'I'm still standing', b-but it's ok! We don't have to do that one if you don't want to." He said, scratching the back of his head. "Actually, that's the song I was thinking of doing too!" I smiled. He grinned.

We walked over towards the piano and sat on the short piano seat. "Do you want me to teach you how to play first or do you want to start singing?" I asked, turning to face him. He shrugged and smiled down at me. "Your choice," he said. "I think we should start with singing, just to get it out of the way." I smiled. We rehearsed the rest of the day, the singing part was done, now all that's left is the piano.

"Alright guys, good job on the first very productive rehearsal! Next rehearsal is tomorrow at 12 pm." Buster spoke. We nodded and thanked him, people scrambling out of the doors. I silently walked alongside Johnny out the doors. "The rest of the week we can work on the piano, you have a really nice voice by the way." I said with a grin evident on my face. He glanced down at me and smiled. "You're not too bad yourself, Y/N," he said.   We continued to walk silently until I had reached my home. "This my stop I guess." I softly spoke, turning to face him. "Would you like me to drive you home? It's late at night and it's been raining all day." I mumbled. He smiled. "It's alright, my house isn't too far from here anyway." He whispered.

I nodded and waved. "Well, bye Johnny! Text me if anything happens. See you tomorrow!" I said, walking backwards to my house. He waved back and said, "I will, bye Y/N!" He exclaimed. I walked into my house, quickly changing into my pijamas and jumping into bed.

A WEEK OF REHEARSALS AND A DESTROYED THEATER (xd) LATER

I ran towards my room as I heard my phone ring multiple times, I ignored them all due to my state of devastation after the show was canceled. "Hello?" I mmumbled into the phone. "Y/N hey! It's Buster." Mr. Moon's voice rang out. I cocked an eyebrow up and spoke. "Hey Buster, what's up?" "I've been thinking long and hard about putting the show back together. Would you join again if I did?" He asked sheepishly. A giggle burst out of me and I frantically nodded, even though he couldn't see me. "Yes! I'd be delighted to!" I exclaimed. I heard a small chuckle. "It's settled then, come by to the old auditorium so we can put something together." His voice spoke out. I smiled and agreed, quick to hang up.
