her day had started of ok.
fleur didn't always like school, less so before, but now her friends made it ok.
her and kian were on good terms and she never had to see jc.
but, that day, she had hardly seen kian at school.
she finally saw him when she got home, as he was waiting outside her house.
"hey, kian! where have-"
"please tell me you didn't neck on with my best mate."
fleur's heart stopped.
"fleur. did you kiss jc?"
"i thought you were cheating on me! i was upset and he was there and it was just stupid!"
kian scoffed and turned so he was facing her.
fleur thought he looked how she had felt.
"you thought i was cheating on you so you fucking cheated on me! with my fucking best mate!"
fleur didn't think she could explain herself, so she didn't try.
"who told you?" she asked.
"jc, obviously. he was in the wrong but at least he owned up to it. at least he didn't take me for a fucking idiot."
"kian, i didn't mean to-"
"i knew something was up. did you honestly not care that much that you didn't tell me? you just went on like you were more in love with me than ever."
"i do love you! i didn't want to hurt you."
"then why did you kiss him?"
and, then, fleur realised she was stuck.
kian nudged past her and started to walk away.
"kian!"
"stay the fuck away from me, fleur."
