Jeonghan just laid on his bed with a realization that he was gay. That he liked Seungcheol. How? He sat up and rubbed his eyes with the balls of his hands. He heard the door click and Seungcheol came walking in.
"Tired?" He asks and sits on the bed opposite to Jeonghan.
Jeonghan shook his head. "Um... I just need fresh air." He says and opens the balcony doors, standing on the balcony and breathing in a breath of the warm night air. He laid his chin in the palm of his hand. Staring at the building ahead of him, he liked the color of the changing lights. It reminded him of the Christmas lights his family always put up around the house. One event led to the next, soon making Jeonghan cry due to the fact he missed his family. It was tough, learning to live somewhere without the comfort that you're going to be on your own for four years with a man that was a complete shy and cute dork in highschool that is now an open and hot mess. Jeonghan couldn't determine if he missed his family for the reason he was crying or if he was undecided whether or not to tell Seungcheol his feelings.
A knock at the door startled Jeonghan as he looked at Seungcheol with teary eyes. They glistened in the moons light and one ran it's way down Jeonghan's cheek, leaving a trail of silver ribbon with a tear of an angel as it sparkled as it went down. His mouth was agape and he had a ragged breath as he stared at Seungcheol. Was he seriously crying in front of him at a time like this?
"Are you alright?" Seungcheol walked closer to Jeonghan and lightly moved a piece of hair from his face. Jeonghan blushed lightly at his action and bit his lip. Seungcheol frowned at the sight of Jeonghan and lightly removed the silver ribbon of tears off his cheek and caressed it. Seungcheol felt like he did something to poor Jeonghan, seeing how sad he was and how broken he seemed through his eyes. "Jeonghan..." He started and took hold of Jeonghan's jaw in his hand. His pinky moved down to a spot that felt nice to Jeonghan and he nearly groaned. He stopped it in his throat.
What was happening? He stared at Seungcheol's eyes as another tear slipped down his cheeks and fell down Seungcheol hand and plummeted towards the floor of the balcony, shattering into a million pieces like glass... Like his heart as it was being fought over by love and sadness.
"Jeonghan.." Seungcheol said again and the moon seemed to brighten up. He smiled softly as he wiped the new ribbon of silver away and Jeonghan's heart flipped a mile out of his chest, hitting him hard when it came back. He looked away, causing Seungcheol's hands to leave his cheeks. He felt a sob suddenly make it's way to his chest as he felt the warmth slip away.
"I-I'm sorry.." Jeonghan whispered, "I-I just miss my family." He says as his heart broke to the massive lie he had said. Granted he missed his family very much, he loved Seungcheol and couldn't find the words to say it. He shut his eyes and allowed the god forsaken ribbons to run down his puffy cheeks.
"That's not the reason." Seuncheol says and frowned, watching Jeonghan from behind. "You're sad about something else. You don't have to hide it from me, Jeonghan. I know you hid more than you should have in Senior year, too. It's alright because I won't judge you like many others have." Seungcheol sighed. "Is it me?" He asks.
Jeonghan didn't say a word, instead he nodded his head. Seungcheol looked at the floor of the balcony and the slipped inside silently. He went to his bed and sat down on it as he stared at the floor. His phone was on the bed and he made it passed his lock screen to see a (1) next to his messenger. He opened it and saw a message from his girlfriend.
'Hi Cheol~ I hope you're doing okay~ I miss you and I love you~ Sleep well oppa~ Message me when you get this~ byyye~'
He put his head in his palm and sighed, knowing what he had to do. He tapped to type.
"I'm doing alright at the moment. But I cannot express my feelings for you anymore. I cannot spend time with you the way I have in the past. I'm sorry..."
He sent it and nodded as he typed his last sentence.
"I found someone different."
