Your P.O.V
                              "Come on (Y/N)! Wake up!"
The sudden noise made my body jump on reflex, and I was on the floor by the time Ms. Hollins walked away.
The puppy shot up in alert from beside my bed and looked around for the source of the noise. When he couldn't find anything, he bounded over and leapt onto the bed, wasting no time to lick at my face and hands.
I giggled at the tickling sensation before picking him up and setting him down. My routine was completed in record time and I sprinted down the hall, making it to the meeting room in two minutes and thirteen seconds (I skipped brushing my teeth).
Unfortunately, there was a very very strict no pet policy, so I had to leave the dog back in my room. Fortunately, he was happily munching on half of my breakfast when I left.
Entering the room as quietly as I could, I pressed myself against the back wall as to not make a scene.
"... you two," she pointed to a set of identical twins in the front of the group. "laundry duty." They both smiled and bowed.
"Halley, as usual, you'll be in charge of bringing the meals to the royal family," I looked over at Halley, her smile as poised and polite as always. But a blind man could see the scheming in her eyes. She was probably thinking about how she would approach each member of the royal family, as it was no secret she fancied the eldest brother but had no qualms if she had to go for his younger brother instead. Always so politically motivated...
"Wait a minute..." Ms. Hollins trailed off, and I stopped staring at Halley to look back at her. She was putting her reading glasses on and squinting, seemingly not processing what she was reading.
"Um... right. Halley, you will be delivering the meals to the royal family per usual." Halley breathed out a sigh of relief. "Except for Master Zane." Ms. Hollins finished.
I barely managed to hide my laugh. Halley was a mix between absolutely horrified and completely dumbfounded, and let me just say it did not suit her normally gentle face.
"He has requested a maid other than Halley. (Y/N)," She said my name like it pained her to acknowledge my existence. "You are in charge of the dishes, but since that's one of the easier jobs, I'll have you bring him his meals for the week."
It took every ounce of strength not to collapse.
I'm dead I'm dead I'm dead I'm dead I'm dead I'm dead I'm dead I'm dead I'm dead I am so freaking dead he's going to kill me!
Sweat rolled down my face as Halley smiled at me; but don't be fooled, she looked as though she could murder someone.

The halls were all but abandoned save for my presence as I walked through them. Almost against my will, my head followed my nose and looked down at the food that smelled so incredibly good.
The tray was made of pure silver and the handles were adorned with rubies and emeralds, fit for a member of the royal family. The actual food was... it was so fancy, truth be told, I didn't even know what it was!
All I knew was that it looked really weird. There were crispy brown strips next to a weird yellow substance that looked like throw up and a hard piece of bread with blueberries in it and pieces of sugar on the top.
I felt myself mentally drool at the thought of eating this stuff. I've never really had anything that wasn't 'mush'. It's what servants eat for every meal of every day and we're assured that it's filled with nutrients, but it tastes like soggy, flavorless oatmeal.
