Third Person P.O.V

The fire burned the ground in every direction in the hell-like dimension. Lava rained from the ceiling and pooled on the ground in vast oceans of magma that lay on a thick layer of netherrack.

Glowstone twinkled on the ceiling and the walls as ghasts floated around, shooting at nearby shadow knights and making noises of sorrow and agony. Zombie pigmen oinked as their flesh tore from their body, exposing their bones and other rotten bodily organs as they walked around aimlessly, their golden swords raised high in the air, daring someone to attack them.

Hell mice scurried around as ogres stomped across the ground, killing everything in sight with their massive clubs and incredible strength. Their fire-like skin intimidated the other mobs living down there, and so they were generally left alone.

But the shadow knights had no fear.

They slaughtered mobs they found annoying with no mercy, marking their territory and creating bases of operation for their cause.

But there was one base that was rather hectic at the moment.

"So let me get this straight; I send you to the Overworld to recruit dead guards and you bring me back a maid?!" A woman with white hair exclaimed as she motioned to the woman chained to the wall of a cell.

"Sasha calm down. If you saw her fight you'd understand why I brought her here! Also, she has incredible healing powers and she's a descendant of royalty! She's hot too, that's a bonus." The man replied as Sasha rolled her eyes.

"Look Gene, I don't doubt that, but you had strict orders from the higher ups-" Gene cut her off with a wave of his hand.

"Well the higher higher up told me to get her." This made the woman's protests vanish.

"So he told you to retrieve her?" The woman asked in a hushed tone. Gene nodded, pride in his face.

"Yep." He said as he popped the p, arrogance laced in his tone. "Which means I'm right, and you're wrong."

She growled before rolling her eyes again and looking at the woman, suddenly noticing the bloodied wedding dress. "So she died on her special day huh?" Sasha asked, suddenly pitying the woman the slightest bit.

"Yeah. Stabbed in the back by the priest and then died from carbon dioxide. There was also a fire." Gene explained as Sasha bent down to level with the unconscious woman behind the bars of the cell.

"Poor thing." She muttered, Gene rolling his eyes. "Don't feel bad for her. Remember, Axel needed more soldiers, so she's just another pawn in the shadow lord's game."

"Yeah but it still sucks. A girl's wedding day is the happiest day of her life, and in this case it was the worst day of her life." Gene replied with a swift, "Well duh it was the worst day. Haven't you been paying attention?" This made Sasha groan in annoyance.

"Wait. Why'd you clear everyone's memory of her except for the high priest?" Sasha asked her partner, and he smirked. "He needed more motivation. What better way to get that than by making him want to desperately believe she wasn't just some dream." He replied, and she almost shuddered from how sinister that was.

"So anyways," and with that, she stood up and looked back at Gene "when is her ceremony?" She asked, and he shrugged. "The shadow lord said it should be soon, seeing as how he just got some high priest dude to do his bidding." Gene replied, making Sasha sigh.
