In class Alex didn't talk to me at all.
I couldn't help but feel guilty, I know he saw what happened between max and me. After we finished our project we sat in silence for the rest of the class, turned in our seats not even looking at each other.
When the bell rang he got up and walked out not even saying goodbye.

I tried to catch up to him but he had become very popular in the last few days so before I could catch up he was enveloped in a crowd of his friends.  I gave up after many try's of elbowing my way in and getting pushed out over and over again.

At lunch I plopped down at my table that I shared with Max and started unpacking my food. I was opening my applesauce when I saw max in the lunch line. I held my applesauce in one hand and waved with the other.
I was so preoccupied with waving to max I didn't hear him coming up behind me,and by then it was to late.

My applesauce was flicked out of my hand and spilled all down my front. I stood up so fast I sent the chair flying. I looked up to see who the culprit was and saw... Alex? No it couldn't have been him but there he was sneering at me. His white teeth gleaming. He walked up to me and put his face close to mine and whispered,
"You've got got a little something on your shirt."

Finishing it with a sharp poke to the chest he pulled away and walked on to his table, his little fan girls giggling  and  hanging onto him while his guy friends clapped him on the back, chuckling at what he just did.
I rubbed my eyes so I wouldn't cry in front of them. I walked till around the corner and then I broke out into a sprint. I ran to the nearest bathroom and cleaned up then I cried an unhealthy dose of tears.

I decided to go back to class after hours of sitting in the bathroom. When I walked in the teacher looked at me and smiled  at me, pity written all over her face. She must have been in the cafeteria when it happened. I sat down at the back of the class and got to work wondering if I should transfer out of  my one class with Alex.
