Harry's POV

I was curled into the fetal position on Niall's couch, my lips now in a permanent frown. "Man, you gotta get up off that couch," Niall said, suddenly standing next to me. I could smell honey flavoured tea and when I glanced up at him, he was holding a mug, the contents in it steaming. "It's not healthy to stay like this all day long."

After my encounter with Margo in the park, I found myself moving to Niall's and I've been here since yesterday. I groaned involuntarily and shut my eyes tightly, trying to make certain thoughts disappear. It was impossible for that to happen. "I'd rather stay here, if that's okay with you," I replied in a monotone voice. Running a hand through my bed head curls and keeping my eyes closed, I could sense Niall moving closer and then I felt the sofa sink under his weight.

"No. That is not okay with me. Now get up and drink this goddamn tea."

I could only chuckle deeply, my whole chest rumbling below me as I sat up. "Fine," I muttered, grabbing the hot mug from his pale hands. "God, I'm such a fuck up, Niall."

He shook his head and grimaced. "You didn't do anything wrong to give yourself that title. Margo, or whatever her name is, put you and Wren into this position."

Wren. I missed her so fucking much, my heart ached when Niall said her name. "She did the right thing; taking a break from us and thinking about what happened, though," I whispered, taking a small sip of the still steaming liquid. "I just wish she'd give me a sign. To let me know that I still have a chance to fix something that wasn't even my mistake. Fucking Margo," I mumbled under my breath.

Just then, the doorbell rang making me jump slightly in my seat. Niall stood and walked out of my eye line, making it impossible to see who was at the door. "Oh, hi," I heard him say quietly. "He's in here, yeah." I heard footsteps, a light pitter-patter and then Niall's loud shoes, on the hardwood floor. I rolled my eyes, thinking it was my Mum coming in to check on me or find out what the hell's been going on with my life. "Harry, this may be your sign," Niall said, smirking at me.

A crease formed in between my eyebrows, but before I could ask him what he meant by that, he walked away leaving me with the stranger who rang the doorbell. They still hadn't shown themselves. I watched Niall's retreating figure in front of me until a certain voice caught my attention and made my face swivel in their direction. "Hi, Harry," she said softly, her voice velvet like and joyless. She looked beautiful and ruined all at the same time, but I still couldn't find the courage to look away, for she was still breathtaking. Her dark hair was hanging down, creating a curtain that framed her face. Her sapphire-like eyes were wide and glossy and red rimmed, like all she'd been doing for the past week was crying hysterically. Her pink lips were pulled into a pout and her black sweater was wrinkled, along with her black skinny jeans. She shrugged her shoulders and started sniffling. "I'm stupid," she started, a melancholy smile resting on her face. "I messed up asking for space. But all I hope is that you'll forgive me. Because I don't know what I'd do with m-myself if you didn't," her voice cracked and stray tears fell from her eyes. "I'm so sorry, Harry, and I missed you so fucking much."

I stared at her. She was sorry. She missed me. She wasn't stupid, though. She was the opposite of stupid. And I forgave her, for I loved her, and I would always love her. I slowly rose from the couch and dropped the throw blanket that was resting on my shoulders. Moving towards her, I could see her tense and shove her hands messily into her jean pockets. An inch away from her lips, I grabbed her face in both of my hands and kissed her. She sighed in relief into my mouth and responded by wrapping her arms around my torso. I could hear the ocean roaring in my ears and feel the hypothetical sun on my back and I knew that everything was finally right with the world again. "I love you."
