"it's the first day of summer, what are we gonna do?" the dark haired boy asked his best friend of seven years."we could get really drunk?" she shrugged, joining him on the couch, resting her legs in his lap.
"amara, i think that might be the most marvelous idea you've ever had." he smiled, running a hand through his shaggy hair.
"i texted max, he said he's up for having a party." joji smiled devilishly.
max always throws the best parties. sometimes they end up like the project x movie, minus the fire and mass destruction of course.
"let's go get ready then help him set up?" amara questioned.
"i'll go get my shit then be back." joji spoke, jogging to the door.
amara immediately ran up to her room, digging through her closet searching for an outfit.
considering that she wanted to get sloppy drunk tonight, she pulled out a pair of jeans and an old shirt she stole from joji that read 'slayer'.
after fixing her messy hair amara went back downstairs to see joji who was wearing an outfit quite similar to hers.
"edgy." joji chuckled, observing amara's choice of outfit.
"you're literally the definition of edgy emo, shut up." amara playfully snapped back.
"but the difference is, you're hot." joji admitted.
amara's face started heating up at the compliment, causing her to quickly walk past joji.
"who's driving?" amara asked, leaning against the door frame, dangling the keys.
joji flashed amara a sarcastic smile, snatching the keys as he walked out of the door.
their short car ride consisted of the two obnoxiously rapping along to various old biggie songs and amara staring at joji, he was used to this now though.
as the two pulled up to the fairly large house they were greeted by the fluffy haired aussie.
"you guys mind carrying some of the beer in?" max asked, gesturing towards the trunk of his car.
amara and joji obliged, carrying the cases of alcohol into the kitchen.
"we just need to set up the beer pong table, then we're ready." max shrugged.
max and joji carried the table up from the basement, then arranged the cups.
"pregame?" joji suggested, holding up the small bottle of patron he brought.
"oh hell yeah!" max spoke as joji poured three shots.
the three of them collectively clanked their glasses together, then tapping the glass to the table, and finally up to their mouths.
a few drinks later and amara was already halfway to the point of no return.
"maybe you should slow down a bit if you want to make it through tonight." joji chuckled, handing amara a red cup filled with water.
