"this isn't how i wanted to die." joji stared down blankly at the crystal clear ocean from the top of the semi-large cliff.

"it'll be fun." amara chuckled, removing her shirt.

joji agreed, nodding his head slowly, his thoughts now clouded with the image of amara's body.

looking over the edge amara grinned, ready for the adrenaline and challenge.

joji, however, was scared for his life.

"are you sure this is safe?" joji questioned, his voice cracking mid sentence.

amara sighed deeply, gesturing for joji to look at the water. as soon as joji went to the edge she lighted nudged him enough to quickly send him into the water.

"you could've killed me!" joji shouted after emerging to the surface.

"but did you die?" amara laughed heftily from the top of the cliff.

joji replied with a simple middle finger as he treaded water waiting for amara to make the jump.

the more amara thought and contemplated the harder it became to bring herself to the edge of the cliff.

"cmon, it wasn't that bad!" joji shouted.

as amara approached closer to the edge, joji's smile grew wider.

"you can do it, babe!" joji reassured, earning a smile from amara.

the cute nickname gave amara a sudden boost of confidence, she knew that once she got down there she would be met with her favorite person that makes her feel like she could do anything.

"here goes nothing." amara mumbled to herself before she jumped off the edge to the short distance to the cold water.

"that was amazing." amara spoke breathlessly, swimming over to joji.

as soon as she reached him she attached her lips to his, due to the adrenaline still pumping.

"oh?" joji chuckled after the kiss, slightly confused.

amara swam behind joji putting her arms around his neck and latching onto his back in hopes of not making the situation awkward.

joji swam closer to shore with amara contently attached to his back.

"you're gonna make me swim all the way back over there?" amara raised raised an eyebrow, as joji was fixing his messy wet hair.

joji simply replied with a splash, completely unaware of the war he just started.

"truce?" joji suggested, making his way closer to amara.

"truce." amara answered maniacally.

reading the signals, joji was going to kiss amara, so she took the perfect opportunity.

as soon as joji was just inches away from her lips she splashed one more small splash in his face, causing joji to grab a hold of her.

amara wrapped her legs around joji as the two floated peacefully in the currently unpopulated ocean.

joji noticed amara was shaking, he carried her back to the shore, embracing her in a warm towel.

driving past the palm trees and joggers amara's attention was pulled to joji when he began to sing along to the song on the radio.

she then began to think how if joji's voice was the only voice she'd ever get to here again, she'd be completely okay with that.

deep in her thoughts about joji she didn't realize she had been staring at him the whole time.

"what ya thinkin about?" joji chuckled glancing at amara's daydreaming self.

"nothing." amara sighed, softly smiling back at joji, still a little confused on her feelings.
