"close your eyes." joji shouted from the other room.

"they're closed." amara giggled sitting on the couch patiently.

"open." joji demanded as he placed something next to amara.

amara slowly opened her eyes, peeping down at the small and furry golden retriever puppy.

amara gasped, picking the puppy up as her smile grew wider.

joji didn't need to hear a thank you, her smile was enough.

"i'm naming him joji." amara stated holding the puppy like a baby, speaking to him with a squeaky voice.

with every cute little thing she said to the puppy it seemed that joji fell in love with her even more if that was possible.

joji joined amara and the puppy on the couch, utterly content with amara's reaction.

joji picked the puppy up, bringing him to his face letting the puppy lick his nose.

amara watched admiringly as joji played with the puppy.

"so cute." amara mumbled to herself.

"thanks." joji chuckled.

"i was talking about the puppy, but i guess you're alright too." amara shrugged innocently.

joji yawned from across the couch, earning a contagious yawn from amara.

"mind if i take a tap?" amara asked shifting the sleepy puppy.

"i think i'll join you." joji and amara shifted so that they were laying down and the sleeping pup was on top of them.
