Max brought the little girl in the basket inside and sat on the couch, setting the basket beside him. The girl cried, and cried, wishing for sleep she knew she wasn't going to get anytime soon.

Max picked up a folded piece of paper that was tucked away by the baby girl's feet. He opened it up and read it to himself.

    Dear whomever finds this child,
I am very poor, so I do not have the money I need to take care of my angel daughter and I am sincerely sorry for her that it has come to this. I am leaving her to you for care. Please, treat her well and teach her to be a good little girl. I hope she is in good hands, once again, please take good care of her.

There was no name for the girl, her mother, or father on the note. Only that the daughter was an angel.

Max picked up the crying infant from the basket and carefully rocked her in his arms. As he did so, he sang a soft lullaby and, after about twenty minutes, got her to fall asleep.

Max heaved a silent sigh. He looked around the apartment as he gently set the girl back down on a blanket in the bottom of the basket. The guys won't know until tomorrow... He thought to himself, thinking about his two roommates.

Ross was passed out in his room and Tim wouldn't be home tonight.

Max sighed again, thinking, I guess you're staying with me. It's about time I went to bed, too. He quietly chuckled.

He stood up, the basket holding the infant in his hands and slowly made his way to his room, careful not to wake the sleeping baby or Ross when he passed his room.

Max slowly opened the door to his room and stepped inside,  closing the door shut behind him. He set the basket down on the chair in front of his desk. Max lifted the child out of the basket and walked over to the bed. He gently laid the sleeping child down on the bed before laying down beside her and closing his eyes to fall into a dreamless sleep.

Ross snuck into the ginger's room and slowly tip-toed towards the bed where Max laid, facing the wall. "Maaaaaaax... It's time to get uuuuuuuuup..." he called as he walked to the end of the bed before shouting, "HOLY" —he cursed loudly— "MAX HAS A CHILD!"

Ross's shouting woke Max, the sleeping child, and made Tim run over to see the commotion.

The child, unhappy about being woken up, cried loudly. "The hell Ross?! You see a sleeping baby and you yell?!" Max hissed as he sat up, rocking the little girl in his arms. "Yeah, Adam? Don't be mad if we come in late." Tim said on the phone (he had called Adam while Max got mad at Ross) before he hung up.

"Hush, my little girl, please don't cry. Daddy Max'll sing you a lullaby..." Max quietly sang as he rocked the child in his arms.

The child calmed down and giggled at Max.

"Hey Max, how did you even find her?" Ross asked. "Well, last night someone rang the doorbell. When I went to answer the door, no one was there, but this little one was left alone with a note in that basket," Max explained and pointed over to the basket on the chair by his desk. "Does she have a name?" Tim asked. "No, all the note said was that she was an angel. I don't know why someone would leave her in the rain though." Max responded.

"I got it!" Ross exclaimed. Max and Tim looked over at Ross, confused. "We can name her Aqua," Ross said happily, "One, because of her eyes. And two, because you found her in the rain." Aqua giggled and stretched her arms out towards Ross and made a grabbing motion with her hands. Ross chuckled and picked her up.

"Seems like someone likes their new name." Tim laughed. Max looked over at the clock. "We're late." He sighed. "Guess we're taking Lady Aqua to work with us." Ross said.

Max stood up and grabbed a camera that was sitting on his desk and the basket. He walked out of the apartment with Tim and Ross behind him as Ross carried Aqua. "TimTim, you're driving. I'm tired and I think Ross wants to help take care of this little lady." Max said. Tim laughed and got into the driver's seat as the other two sat in the back.

Ross set Aqua down in the basket and he and Max played with her. When they pulled into the parking lot of the offices, they were almost an hour late for work.

Aqua had fallen asleep, so Max covered her with the small blanket from the bottom of the basket. When the three walked into the office chatting quietly, Em stormed up to them. "When Adam said you would be late, I didn't think you would be this late! Why the hell are you so late!?" Em asked loudly, very annoyed, only for the three to shush her. They then proceeded to walk to their offices and continue with their day, being quieter than they normally are.

"Hey Adam, why do you think Ross, Max, and Tim are being so much more... quiet?" Red asked as he spoke with Adam not too far away from Max's office. Adam just shrugged.

Aqua slowly woke up from her nap to find herself surrounded by darkness under her blanket. Not knowing where she was, Aqua started crying as loud as she could. Max stood up from his desk and sat by the basket on the floor. He took the blanket off of Aqua to pick her up. "It's alright Aqua, Dad Max is here..." he whispered as he cradled her in his arms. Adam and Red burst into Max's office to see what was going on.

Max turned his head towards them and pressed a finger to his lips as Ross came up behind them and made his way over to Max. He sat on the ground beside Max and Aqua. "Look, Aqua, it's Uncle Sky and Uncle Red." Ross whispered as he took Aqua from Max's arms and pointed over to Adam and Red.

"My heart just melted." Red said as Aqua smiled. "How the" —he cursed— "did you get a kid, Max?" Max sighed and explained that she was left at their doorstep late last night in the rain.

"Why would someone leave a child alone in the rain?" Red asked.

Max handed Red the note he had found with Aqua in the basket the night before.

After reading the note Red said, "That is sad. Just, just sad." Adam took his phone out of his pocket and typed something in. "I'm going to keep her. She'll be my daughter."  Max said quietly.

"I'm getting Alesa." Adam said as he walked out with his phone ringing in his hand. "Nnooo, she wouldn't leave us alone if she came!" Ross complained in a childish manner that made the little girl in his arms giggle.

"Nnuuuuu, mah heart! Why?" Red said as he clutched his shirt over his heart as he fell to his knees then onto his back, acting like he had died. "Bleh."

"No, Red!" Ross joked, putting Aqua on the floor and crawling over to Red

"My daughter killed Red and there's no evidence! I'm so proud!" Max said as he hugged Aqua who looked so innocent and smiled.
