Liam's POV:
"Hey Sash, wake up" I say carefully, I do not want to scare her again. I think I've done that one too many times.
"mmmm" she answered with a yawn and sleepy eyes.
"It's 4 pm, and if we were going to go out I think we should do that pretty soon" I whisper in her ear.
"What, really? 4 pm? Wow, we really need to go" she said and jumped up and caught me off guard, so I didn't get a chance to take my hands off of her, so now my hands are around her waist and great, my head is resting on her stomach. This is just great.
"Ehr, Liam? What are you doing?" She asks and I feel my cheeks burning.
"Erhm... Uh, oh, nothing. You just... Caught me off guard, I guess. Sorry." I say, embarrassed. Fortunately she just smiles down at me.
"It's alright. I did jump out of the sofa without saying anything, I should've announced it, like a sign with big red letters!" She said ironically and I laughed, she looks so cute right now. "But we really should get going don't you think?" She says and grabs my wrist and tries to pull me off of the sofa. But her hand is so small that she couldn't get her hand around my wrist and when she pulled her hand slipped and she fell on my lap.
"Why, hello there" I said startled and smiled.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. I just tried to pull you off of the sofa. So sorry." She said and her cheeks starts getting red. She looks so adorable. With no makeup, messy hair and, now, with a major blush. I can't help but laugh, she's so cute while she's trying to get off of my lap.
"It's alright, love. I should've announced that you have small hands, right?" I said and laughed, she just nodded and smiled shyly.
"We'll, now we really have got to go, okay? I want my coffee before it's too late!" And before I knew what was happening she stood in front of her bedroom door. "I'm just gonna make myself look pretty. Oh well, prettier than what I do now, at least." And with a giggle she closed the door behind her.
"Took your time alright. Come on now, we're going!" I said and took her hand and started walking towards the door. Wait, what? Why was I holding her hand? As soon as I thought that I let go of her hand. "Sorry, just a habit. I always held hands with Sophia when we were going out for something, as normal couples do." I felt like I had to explain myself to her, I don want to scare her or something.
"Hey, it's okay. I get that, I do it sometimes as well, especially with Casper, I don't know why. I just take his hand but, fortunately, he don't mind. But don't think about it, I guess it's normal. And she did break up with you like yesterday, right? You just have to take some time to get over her" I nodded and smiled, hoping she would understand that I understood what she said. It seemed like she did, because she started talking about an assignment we got at school.
"Mmm, this is seriously the bestest thing I know of. It's probably better than.... SEX!" Sash yelled, and I started blushing like crazy, my cheeks burned.
"Hey hey, yeah it's good, but don't shout things like that! People aren't deaf..." I said but she only laughed at me.
"Hey, we will probably never see them again, London is a big city, my friend." She said all-knowingly.
"Yeh yeh, but you don't have to shout though, I'm sitting right here you know, plus we're in a café, people tend to go here to get som peace and quiet" I said but that just made her laugh even more. She's probably having a fit, I don't know. It doesn't sound good though.
"Are you okay? You're laughing awfully lot right now" I said with a concerned tone.
"It's just that it's so funny that you think tha...." She stopped in the middle of her sentence and now she was looking... Sad? She looked like she could burst into tears any second now.
"Hey, Sash, are you okay?" I asked, now really concerned.
"Oh, yeah... I-I'm f-fine" she stuttered, but didn't look fine to me. I turned around to what she was seeing, and at the counter I saw a tall guy with a beautiful girl beside him. Was Sasha looking at them? If so, why?
"Who's that?" I asked and she flinched, and I could tell she struggled to not cry at this point.
"Oh, it's nothing.. I mean, they are nothing... I mean... I don't know them." She could tell I didn't believe her, but I didn't push further.
"Okay... If you want to talk about it, I'm here." I said and she smiled and nodded as a response.
"Thank you. It's just that... That's my.. Oh no.. He's looking over here. He's gonna see me! What am I going to do?" She started freaking out, so I grabbed her face to make her look at me.
"Hey, hey. It's okay. Shh, you'll be fine, okay? He's not gonna see you.." I didn't sound convicing though.
"Well... Now he's coming over here! I can't do this!" She looked frantically, her eyes wide but I kept holding her face, to make her look at me, trying to calm her down.
"Hey, Sash! Long time no see! How are you?" The guy had reached our table, and I let go of her face, so she could look at him, even though I didn't really want to.
"Oh, h-hey, M-Michael.." She said, the name didn't ring any bell, but it seemed like she knew this guy pretty well, but something happened and now she has trouble looking at him. I saw that her hands were shaking so I grabbed them, so she would feel like she had some support at least.
"I'm f-fine.. How are you?" she asked squeezing my hands, it was starting to hurt a bit, but it seemed to calm her down.
"I'm great! I've missed you, you know. You haven't called or anything. I was starting to worry that something might have happened to you!" He said, and when he said that Sasha started shaking again, but this time of anger.
"I didn't know. And is it weird that I didn't call you? No! You slept with my friend, and you're wondering why I didn't call you?" She sounded really angry. Who was this guy?
"But Sash-sash, you have to lighten up a little." He said and now Sasha was almost red with fury.
"I have to lighten up?! YOU CHEATED ON ME! AND I HAVE TO LIGHTEN UP?! GO FUCK YOURSELF! Come Liam, we're going." She said, it did take a few seconds before I realised that she was talking to me. Then we got up and I took her hand to walk her out.
What just happened? He was her cheating ex? She never mentioned him.
"Wow, are you okay, Sasha?" I asked and at that second I could see how her heart broke, and before I knew it she started crying and threw herself at me for a hug in comfort. I just hugged her back, not saying anything else. Just let her have her peace for a few moments.
For the longest time we just stood there. I didn't know what to say or do, I just hugged her. I knew people were staring, but I couldn't care less, I had a broken girl in my arms and I needed to fix her. That I knew.
"Hey, Sash, maybe we should go home? We'll buy some coffee, alcohol and ice cream and just chill. What do you think of that?" I whispered. She nodded in response.
"Oh..kay..." she nodded, "let's do that".
