When I got home that evening I smiled from ear to ear. This was the best night I've had in a long time, it was so cozy! I couldn't wait for tomorrow when we could talk some more. He was so nice and a great listener, and the conversation just flowed between us. He was so easy to talk to. I felt like we were good friends already.

"What are you smiling about?" my nosy best friend said.

I just smiled wider and said "I got a new friend today!"

"Really? That's great! who is it?" She's really nosy.

"I don't want to tell you" I said with a shy smile.

"Aw come on! You know you want to tell me. And it's a he, you have to tell me!" She begged.

"Oh okay, Liam. He's really nice, we got along so well!" I said and smiled wider.

"That's so cute! But I knew it was him, I just wanted you to tell me" she said with an evil grin.

"You're evil. You know I hate to talk about stuff like this.. And now I'm going to go to bed, if that's alright with you" I said and turned around to go to the bedroom.

When I woke up the next day I was in a good mood. Which was a bit weird since it was 6 in the morning, but I looked forward to seeing Liam again. We had the first class together, English. It was my favourite subject and I looked forward to having it.

After I had showered and gotten ready I checked my phone while I ate my breakfast. I had one message from Liam:

"Hey, looking forward to English? I sure am, will be fun to hand this amazing work in. Wanna grab a coffee before class? It's a Starbucks right around the corner, I have to have my morning coffee u know."

I smiled and answered "Yeah sure, it's gonna be fun, right? It was truly amazing, L O L. That would be great! I need coffee. Shall we say 7:45?"

Shortly after I got answer "Yay, first time I'll have coffee with someone besides my girlfriend."

"Really? Well, it's an honour, sir" I sent and put my phone in my pocket, grabbed my things and started to walk to my car.

The I saw Liam standing outside the Starbucks looking at his phone.

"Hi, Liam." I said and he looked up startled.

"Oh, hi, Sasha." he looked a bit upset, I wondered why.

"Ready for our coffee?" I said trying to get him to think of something else than the thoughts he were having that made him upset.

"Yeah sure.." He started walking inside and I followed him, very curious why he was acting this way.

"Sooo.. What do you want?" I asked Liam and smiled, trying go get a smile from him. I was unsuccessful, he didn't even look at me.

"I don't know.. I'll have whatever you're having." He said and I ordered two ice coffees and paid the waitress.

Neither of us spoke while waiting for the coffees, it was just this awkward silence. I didn't know what to do or say, so I just stared at the cake-selection.

"Here you go, enjoy!" The waitress said with a big smile and we walked out of the café.

"Liam? Is something wrong? You haven't said anything, and you look upset." I said hoping my friend would say something to me, maybe I could help him.
