Concealed Feelings[COMPLETED]

Kei was already in the car, waiting for the girl to butt in. He doesn’t know what to feel. He has no right to get her back from his friend when he knew that he was the one who dumped her. But he’s hurt.

She entered the car silently, but her presence was enough for him to go shiver, like before.

“Where do you wanna go?” Kei asked her.

“Home. I wanna go home.” She insisted.

“Sure.” Kei started the engine then off their way to her house.

“How are you?” He opened up the topic.

“I’m good.” Her voice was cracking.

“It’s been a while si-.”

“I know. It’s okay. Everything’s good so there’s nothing for us talk about the past.” She straightly said. She doesn’t wanna hear more hurtful words from him.

“I’m sorry I didn’t hear you out that day.” Kei gave in.

“I won’t matter anymore so just keep it.” And now, she’s getting anxious.

Kei was out of words. His chest might burst out with the mixed emotions he has.

KEI’S POV

I wanna settle every gap between us so we can be okay again. If 4months have been such a hell long time for me, how much more will be the 6months of not having her on my side knowing that we can never be together again. If only I hear her out that day, we won’t go through this. She wouldn’t meet Satoshi. She must’ve been in love with me until now.

Should I take her back? That question kept on flashing is my mind. I slightly glanced at her seeing if she’s doing okay and I can feel she’s not, now that she’s with me and she’s mad at me.

I stopped that car. We’re just 2 houses away from hers but I just can’t go on anymore. I wanna settle things with her right away.

I looked at her with guilt in my eyes. She didn’t look at me back. She’s avoiding my eyes darted to hers.

“What’s the matter?” She asked uncomfortably.

“We should talk.” I demand.

“I knew it this would happen. Go back, I can walk.” She said as she dropped off the car then started to walk away.

I on the double went out of the car to go after her. I tugged her to me and lock her with my body. She’s trying to get away from my clasp but I just won’t dislodge.

“Why Keichan, why?!!” As she was giving her best to get away from me. It’s hurting me to hear that she still calls me with her sweet Keichan .

“I’m hurt. It’s been 10months and I'm still hurt. What caused me to push you that time? I don’t wanna suffer that you’re not with me anymore”..

Kristen’s POV.

“I’m hurt. It’s been 10months and I'm still hurt. What caused me to push you that time? I don’t wanna suffer that you’re not with me anymore”..

“I suffered the most, Keichan. I was able to survive from the illness I had before for you  but you were the one who gave me up.”  I sobbed.

“I-illness?” He loosens his grip and was dumbfounded.

“I have nothing to explain.” I wiped my tears.

“Tell me what I need to know. Those things I never gave you a chance to spill out.” He commanded with a manner voice.

“That time, I went abroad to be treated from Aortic Dissection. I was sick. I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want you to get worried about my condition. You know that I can’t endure seeing you without the sweet smile I go drool over with before, right? I tried to understand your reaction. I was gone insane too. But …. But …” I can hardly breathe. I rapidly catch for air but it’s not enough to sustain my body with oxygen. Seconds later..

Seconds later and she just collapsed and fell into his arms. Kristen’s mother saw what had happened. She asked Kei to bring Kristen inside their house. Her mother was so nice and dear to him ever since.

“Will she be okay?” he asked kristen’s mother.

“She will be.” She smiled while caressing kristen’s hair.

“She becomes prettier than the last time I’ve been with her.” Kei told to kristen’s mom.

“But I just cannot have her anymore. Sorry to ask this but, what’s with her illness auntie?” kei asked her mom.

“It’s Aortic Dissection. The inner layer of the aorta develops a tear which allows blood to escape and pool at the outer aortic wall. If not treated quickly, the outer wall can rupture, resulting in rapid blood loss. That’s the reason why we immediately left this place and went abroad. We didn’t let anyone to know about this.” Her mom explained.

He cried.

“Is there a possibility for her to die?” Kei cried.

Kristen’s mom nodded. But she seemed of not worrying about it.

“She has been a brave girl until now.”

“I’m so sorry. I’m sorry I made your daughter got weak because of me.” Kei apologized. Her mom smiled.

“If you only knew that you were her strength.” Her mom said.

“I’m gonna leave her to you for a  moment.” Then her mom left.

He held her hand with his two hands and passionately planted a kiss on it.

“ I’m so sorry.” Kei whimpered with a mournful emotion.

He kissed her hand once again and he didn’t let go of it, as his tears were flowing down to kristen’s hand.

“Please be okay. If you did, we’ll start a better one, together.” Kei pledged to her.

“Geez. Kei is taking so long.” Ryuu spoke as he nibbled some snacks prepared in the living room.

Satoshi won’t stay still. He was walking back and forth in the living room. Satoshi was getting worried of what might happen with the two. He has a strong feeling that Kristen and Kei has a past. But Kristen told him that they aren’t? Did she just lie to me? Satoshi thought. He grabbed the phone and dialed Kristen’s home number.

“Hello.” A woman has answered his call.

“Hello auntie. Is Kristen already home?” He asked.

“Yes. She fainted a while ago but its okay now, Kei’s with her.”

“Ah okay. I’ll be there auntie.”

“Okay.” Then they hanged up the phone.

He rushed to go outside the house and took a cab.

When he reached his girl’s home, he ran from the cab and hastily went inside of Kristen’s house.

He was about to open the door when he saw something from the window. He was abashed with what he saw- Kei, on her girlfriend’s side, holding her hand as he gives a regretful yet with full concern expression. He saw something bright and special as he saw the two together. He felt that all this time, their (Kei and Kristen) affection is not a flimsy piece of thing that can be thrown away easily. It means a lot to Kei, to her girl and to the future waiting for them. He helplessly went down on his knees with tears on his eyes. His ambience was bit by bit breaking down. His heart was shattered into pieces. Another heart is needed to be mended.
