Thankfully the interview was fairly plain sailing, no questions were asked about the pictures. I was feeling quite relieved.

But I still haven't heard from Y/N. No phone call back, no voice mail left, no text message received. It's past midday now.

"Lauren, c'mon, it's time to go back." Camila hurried me as I was about to put my phone in my pocket anyway. I followed the others out the doors, meeting fans and taking pictures, before jumping in the cab.

"Soundcheck lads!" Dinah yelled punching her fists in the air, close to colliding with her girlfriend's face.

"Was that your best British accent, Dinah?" Camila questioned. "This is how you do a British accent," Camila did her best impression, not gonna lie it made me smile at her attempt, but then she said "Top of the morning, to ya."

"Camila, that is an Irish saying, not British," I saw her face drop in embarrassment.

Well done, Lauren, that came off way too intimidating!

"Fuck." I mutter under my breathe.

Silence fell in the cab, Ally was texting, Norminah were quietly chatting, Camila was looking distant out the window. I did the same.

The streets were busy, people in suits hurrying to wherever, tourists with cameras hanging from there necks looked smiley walking to their next destination. London was a fast city, many different opportunities. So many people, so much diversity.

My mind wandered a lot more, everything I was seeing seemed to trigger a idea or topic, person, movie, book. It was interesting to review my train of thought.

Then my phone vibrated in my pocket. Butterflies began to flutter in my stomach as I hoped for it to be Y/N.

Y/N/N😸🙈: Hey, Lauren, i'm so sorry I haven't replied, i got caught up this morning...🙄

I quickly texted back, very glad she is okay.

Me: I'm glad you're okay, I was starting to get worried 😅

Y/N/N😸🙈: No need to be, babe, i'm all good

Y/N/N😸🙈: i miss you tho

My heart jumped and suddenly my face felt hot. Y/N just said she misses me and called me babe!

Me: I miss you too, Y/N

Me: I really enjoyed last night, i'm glad you could make it.

Y/N/N😸🙈: Honestly, it was my pleasure :)

Me: Hey there's an album release party in London Friday night, the girls and I have been invited, do you wanna be my plus one? ;)

Y/N/N😸🙈: Yes! Yeah of course, if that's okay?

Me: That's why I asked, babe

Y/N/N😸🙈: Yeah count me in!

Y/N/N😸🙈: Talk later x

I closed my phone then Ally tapped my shoulder. I looked to the older girl and signalled for us to leave the cab.

We rushed to soundcheck as fast as we could, got mic'ed up then centred stage.

We sang a few songs, answered questions, the usual, laughed, joked around.

"Last few questions, guys," Camila said. Fans hands shot up, itching to ask away. Camila pointed to a fan in the crowded second row. "What's your question, sweetie?"

"It's for all of you." He started. "Are any of you seeing someone?" Then he ended with giggling to his friend.

Hmm I guess i've been waiting to hear this question today.

Down the line we answered.

Dinah: "Nope, single pringle, me." Everyone laughed and aww'ed.

We knew that wasn't the case but Normani looked at Dinah unfazed. She had to.

Normani: "Single, and not seeing anyone."

Camila: "Yeahh, nooo, I'm not." She simply smiled.

Ally: "Um, yeah, i'm a maybe." She grinned embarrassingly as everyone cheered and whistled jokingly.

Now me.

I cleared my throat a little bit before. "Nope, i'm not seeing anyone either." I could see some of the fans look disappointed, definitely the guy who asked.

I wasn't surprised.

What I said was the truth though. I didn't lie, there is nothing going on between Y/N and I, what happened years ago is very different now. We're different people now, grown up. She doesn't like me in that way anymore.

"Right, one last question?" Ally nods. "You at the front with the bandana."

The mic was past the young girl in the front with the bright pink bandana. She gripped the mic.

"How did you all meet?"
