I wasn't born a beauty
I was made to admire it from afar
I always keep my distance
Afraid that i might ruin its surface
But i am an artist
I know how to replicate beauty
Even if it's only temporary
I know how to sketch a smile
How to contrast its light and shadows to perfection
On a face of the person who's hurt
I know how to paint laughter
Bursting with shades of different color
I know how to saturate my tears with joy
How to intensify unmoving emotions
I am an artist
And the canvass i use is my face
I am an artist
I create beauty that's fake
