Hey readers :)
I've split this part into 2 POV's one from Ashley's and the second from 'the green eyed girls' :P They're pretty much the same but I hope you enjoy reading this scene from 2 perspectives.
Ashleys POV
‘Can you watch where you’re going’ I hear a deep booming voice say from behind me. I swiftly turn around to look up at a huge guy. ‘Are you ok Lana?’ he asks the girl that I had bumped into. I turn back around to face this girl who I had now found out was called Lana. Of course I had known it was the same girl from the bar as soon as I stared into those green eyes.
‘Leave it Tyler. It was just an accident’ she replies.
‘Some people should just watch where they’re going. She could have hurt you’ the guy, Tyler continues to complain.
‘Ashley!’ I hear Charley’s voice shouts from across the room. I spot her pushing her way through crowd towards me. She soon catches up with the little scene I had caused. I watch as she looks between me Lana and Tyler. ‘I’m so sorry Ash, I missed new years’ she says unhappily.
‘It’s fine. I don’t need a clock to tell me when I can do this’ I reply looking away from Lana and Tyler to give Charley a kiss. I chuckle to myself as I turn back towards Lana and Tyler. ‘So what were we talking about?’
‘Uh um just how you could have hurt Lana’ Tyler stutters.
‘Just give it up Tyler!’ Lana almost shouts at Tyler. His face starts begins to turn red.
‘But babe. I’m just trying to protect you’ he mumbles.
‘Protect me from a mugger or from getting hit by a car. I don’t need protecting from a girl who accidently knocks into me’ she huffs. ‘Just go find Andy or something will you’ she orders Tyler who walks off looking embarrassed. For some reason the thought of Tyler being the Beast from Beauty and the Beast comes to my mind. I guess that would make Lana Beauty and the thought makes me smile. She turns back to me and a drunken Charley who sways back and forth beside me. ‘I’m sorry about him. He can be a little overprotective sometimes’.
‘A little?’ I joke. ‘I thought he was going to knock me out’ I laugh.
‘He wouldn’t touch you or anyone. He’s built like a bull but he’s as soft as anything when it comes to violence’ she replies smiling. ‘Anyway I’m Lana and that bull was my boyfriend Tyler’ she continues smiling before holding out her hand for me to shake.
‘Ashley and this’ I point to the mess that was currently Charley. ‘Is Charley my girlfriend.’ I place my hand in hers and lightly shake. Her hand was still as soft as I remembered.
‘Nice to meet you Ash’ she smiles, I notice that she calls me Ash rather than Ashley which makes me grin. I notice as her hand lingers a little too long in mine I quickly pull away. She turns away walking her way through the crowd before disappearing from view.
‘Time to get you home’ I sigh turning to Charley beside me.
Lana’s POV
‘5,4,3,2…Ow’ I cry out feeling someone knock into me and then grab my arms to steady themselves. I look at the person who still had their hands gripping my arms. ‘I’m sorry’ they mumble removing their hands from my arms. The girl was slightly shorter than me and had amazing auburn hair and she had a figure that pulled off the dress she was wearing well. She was...well stunning. Her eyes were mellow blue that complimented her hair. She looked startled and really familiar but I couldn’t place her face. Her eyes looked at me as if she recognised me too and I would have asked if it wasn’t for my boyfriend suddenly barging into the little incident.
‘Can you watch where you’re going’ he practically yells at the girl. She turns around and looks up at Tyler who was looming over her. ‘Are you ok Lana?’ he asks me. The girl turns back around to face me and looks as if she’s piecing together something in her head.
Tylers attitude was stating to annoy me, it was only an accident and no one got hurt and I tell him that. Suddenly some girl from across the room shouts above the music. ‘Ashley!’ I watch the girl opposite me look in the direction of the girl, I guessed Ashley was her name. The girl soon catches up with Ashley. She looked completely wasted as she looked at this Ashley girl, to me and then to Tyler. The girl soon speaks up. ‘I’m sorry Ash, I missed new years’ the blonde girl says unhappily to Ashley.
‘It’s fine. I don’t need a clock to tell me when I can do this’ Ashley replies with what looks like a grin on her face as she kisses the blonde girl on the lips. I feel intrusive witnessing this as I flick my eyes towards Tyler. Tyler’s mouth drops open a as he watches the scene intently. Ashley turns back towards us. Suddenly Tyler moves back into action by once gain harassing the Ashley.
‘Just give it up Tyler!’ I shout at him annoyed by his overprotectiveness. You’d think it was the 1940’s and he was trying to protect his girl. I hated the attitude I mean first of all I don’t need looking after, I can do it myself and secondly the girl only knocked into me by accident. I glance back briefly at Ashley and the obscenely drunk girl beside her as they witness a domestic between me and Tyler which results in me telling him to go away. As I watch him head off embarrassed across the room I finally turn back towards Ashley who's smiling to herself. ‘I’m sorry about him. He can be a little overprotective sometimes’ I apologise.
‘A little?’ she chuckles. ‘I thought he was going to knock me out’.
I explain that Tyler would never hurt anyone. He may be annoying but he was also too nice for his own good sometimes. I decide to introduce myself. ‘Anyway I’m Lana and that bull was my boyfriend Tyler’. I hold out my hand. She introduces herself and Charley before taking my hand. ‘Nice to meet you Ash’ I add. Her hand is slightly warm and slightly smaller than my own and soft. I wonder why the hell I’m thinking about the details of someone’s hand before she suddenly pulls away from my grip. I hesitantly let my hand fall to the side of me. Confused I turn around and leave Ash and Charley behind me.
Ashley's POV
‘I’m so sorry Ashy’ Charley mumbles from beside me.
‘For what?’ I ask confused.
‘For missing new years' she continues mumbling.
‘Don’t worry about it, we have far more than one minute on a clock together’
‘By the way who was that girl?’ she asks.
‘No one’ I lie. I think back to how I had told Charley my story of the mysterious girl with green eyes and I wasn’t about to tell her that Lana was that girl.
What do you guys think of Lana?
